I can defanitly see where your coming from with the atmosphere feel, but their defanitly a little more fast paced if i had to relate them to anyone it would be a mix of the flobots and atmosphere..Thought they are none of these their Houghton obviously...
Anyways i was thinking they were like a post-rap, political rap or something along those lines mostly cause they dont rap about bitches and drugs

A lot of rappers don't rhyme about "bitches and drugs". That goes back 30 years. I wouldn't call it something new by any means.
Also, they rhyme a little TOO fast, they don't enunciate, and everything just seems to jumble together. It was really hard to understand in parts.
Why do they need a genre anyway? I don't think I've ever heard a musician actually give a shit about what people labelled them as unless it was something derogatory. You don't see Mos Def worrying about what to label himself. You and your friends shouldn't either.

Making up some silly genre for them (emo rap?) isn't going to help anything.
It's reminds me of WAAAAAY watered down Atmosphere.
EDIT:
Atmosphere
I'd almost say they were completely ripping this song off.
