And I guess the rest of the league as well.

The idea that your vote is a moral statement about you or who you vote for is some backwards ass libertarian nonsense. Your vote is about society. Vote to protect the vulnerable.
So for teams that need to avoid the shootout for the sake of tie-breakers, how radical will they get? Like, for example, pulling their goalie in overtime? Allen writes that's a no-go:
It is possible that a team might pull its goalie for an extra attacker during a tie game to avoid a shootout, although there is risk involved in doing that in overtime because according to Rule 84.2, if a team is scored upon, it forfeits its guaranteed point.

If the Sharks meet the Bruins in the SCF, you can be sure I'll be cheering for 'em Sharks, even if you have Dany Heatley on your team.

So I'm sure some of you (maple suckers) would complain that it's still a fantastic deal but somebody has started screwing with the secondary ticket market for the Jackets. For the game this Friday against the Kings, upper-deck corner seats are going for about $90 with back-row, center-ice, upper deck tickets going for over $130. It's pretty fucked up since some of you might remember the weekday game where I managed to get 3 tickets in the upper-deck for $20 total. Even normally for big games these tickets for maybe $30-$40.

Boston Bruins at Columbus Blue Jackets Tue, 03/15/11 7:00 p.m. Nationwide Arena, Columbus, OH $23 103 Buy Sell
Detroit Red Wings at Columbus Blue Jackets Thu, 03/17/11 7:00 p.m. Nationwide Arena, Columbus, OH $17 264 Buy Sell
Edit: I guess the knigs game is a little more, but lower bowl for $74 on that site, isn't quite upper bowl for $90
Edit2: But I guess the upper bowl tickets on that site are +$120?!? wtf mate.
look at the prices for the kings game on friday and the prices for the sabres game at the end of the season. i didn't mean to imply every game was having prices rigged, but there are plenty and the prices are skyrocketing.

Either Khabibulin doesn't trust our defensemen anymore or he's just gone completely off the chart in total apathy/hockey IQ.
I'm leaning towards the former.

"I believe he was trying to guide my head into the turnbuckle. We all know where the turnbuckle is. It wasn't a head shot like a lot of head shots we see but I do feel he targeted my head into the turnbuckle."
I wonder if he actually remembers the hit, or is basing this on the video?

$32 bucks for the last home game of the season doesn't seem that bad?
still ignoring the kings prices?
also, look at how much higher the bottom prices start than all the other games. and it's not like they're in demand right now, the secondary ticket prices are all HIGHER than the plentiful first-hand prices.
I really want a first round matchup between the Habs and Bruins.
I yearn for it.
I pray every evening right before bed.
And that is a pretty sweet OP now. I even appreciate the shark territory image. But I call next thread, are we clear.
Re: ticket prices. You haven't seen anything until you've forked out $65 before taxes and fees for the cheapest seats
edit: Look at this comment on Puck Daddy. Upon reading this I'm immediately more bothered by the lack of suspension for Chara.
Welcome to the NHL where you can call someone's girl sloppy seconds and be suspended for 6 games but not have to worry about facing disciplinary action for breaking a dude's neck.
I know, that's why I pointed out the canadians as not caring about my ticket price concerns, but imagine if tomorrow your ticket prices in the secondhand market jumped like 300%. You would probably notice and be concerned.

Oh I don't disagree. Not trying to say "you think YOUR ticket prices are bad"
I've seen the comment you got from PuckDaddy floating around the internet today. I think there's a degree of truth to it, but it's also comparing apples to oranges. Chara should have gotten at bare minimun at least a 1 game suspension, but at least compare it to other health and safety situations, not personal conduct situations.
Also, I think Chara should have been given at least a game, whether it was intentional or not, simply to try to defuse the situation a little.
For christ's sake, it happened on the seven year anniversary of the Steve Moore-Bertuzzi incident, which probably would not have happened had Moore been disciplined for a questionably dirty hit on Naslund in an early Avs/Canucks game. The league has apparently learned nothing about how to defuse these situations. The players are less likely to take matters into their own hands if they think the league is doing its job.

You can and should. Just compress it down a little :P

Lubo was so close to getting another Hat trick. Oh well. I'll take the 5-2 trouncing of the Rangers.
