I am not sure this is the proper section of the forum to post this, but I am scrambling here. My name is Dustin. I am a novice film maker attempting to make a documentary on fan cultures and conventions. This weekend I was suppose to film PAX EAST as a first in a series of events that are meant to make up the film. Here's the sob story: 48 hours ago one of my collaborative partners walked away from the project. He also took all of my registration information with him. Checking in with the con, it appears he cancelled our badges and has left me in the wind to twist. So here it is. My plea to you, the internet, to save my poor project. Does anyone out there have a badge for the weekend that they would be willing to part with? If you do, please e-mail me at tobiantix@gmail.com

That said, you're probably SOL but may have better luck ponying up some cash for a badge listed as available over in the appropriate PAX forum thread
You'll probably have to buy one on the secondary market.
Usagi probably has your only chance right there: check for badges in the PAX thread. What you should also do is to get in touch with people in your local area to try and find people who can actually confirm the truthfulness of your plea in person. You will have a far bigger chance someone in your proximity is willing to help you out than strangers on the internet. We're talking about quite a bit of money, after all.
You say PAX East is going to be a first in a series of events, do you think the other parts of the series can be beefed up to lead to a proper documentary? As awesome as PAX East is, it's far from the only awesome con for videogame/gaming fans.
