Hey, this is my first post and I'm looking for some crits.
I have 6 gestures (10-15 min), two drawings, and a painting.

Not enough contrast, kind of muddy.

Expand your value scale and use sharper transitions where they're warranted.

I understand that you spent 10-15 minutes on each piece and with that being said I like how you can not only draw the picture but also at the same time begin to give it a background.

What I don't like is the lack of detail and as it's has been said, that they look muddy. Post some more serious work or something you spent more time on, I would love see that :P

    Are you using conte crayon?

    I can't tell what medium you're using.

    It's vine charcoal.
I'm actually in the first few weeks of this class so the last three are some of my only "serious" drawings.

Thanks for the feedback though, I'll try to work on my values.

I too am in the first weeks of my class. I've been meaning to post my stuff, but just haven't had the time to pick up my portfolio and photograph it.
