Gaming headphones?

Does anyone own these headphones http://headphoneoutput.com/?p=152 ? My friend is a big gamer and I'm considering getting them as a gift. What does the touch screen interface do?

    They're not even out yet... apparently they will be "later this year." And wow those are extravagant... I can't see the use in the touch screen much, but maybe there is one? I don't get how touching something you can't see makes sense.

    I think it's supposed to support gestures or something you could do while not looking at it.

    They're really for people who have more money than any sort of audio appreciation. There are much better options for high end headphones that would surely deliver a better range and quality of sound than this monstrosity.
