Japan Relief Fund

I'm living in South Korea as an English teacher. Yesterday at school they were passing around the hat for donations to Japan (despite their troubled history together Japan and Korea are like family, sometimes you hate them but you'll always be family). Trouble is like a lot of these charities the money doesn't seem to have a target. They just sort of dump money on the problem. I got to thinking last night this is a perfect opportunity for Child's Play to reach out, help others and gain further support.
Japan and gaming go together hand in hand. A lot of games and 2 of the 3 most popular consoles are designed there. People in the gaming/nerd community love everything about Japan, from Anime to Sony. But we rarely give much back to them (not since post-WWII). So why not get geeks, nerds and gamers all over to come together to help out one of our favorite countries? Think of all the hospitals that need help right now. The 1000's of children who have lost their home, their toys and maybe even their family.
I make donations every year around Christmas but if Child's Play starts a campaign to aid Japan I know I will be making another donation very soon.
