I find this a very hard question to answer. You sort of have to break it into three, namely the original trilogy, and each of the latter two games.
The original trilogy is aces. It's wildly inconsistent, each game has problems in different areas, but they each have strengths. Sands of Time is just an incredibly inventive exploration/character game, but the combat's week. Warrior Within destroyed a lot of the great atmosphere of SoT, added too much combat, but I really liked how that game played with time travel in its story and environments. Two Thrones is probably the best on balance, great combat, great story, but some crazy stupid boss fights.
Forgotten Sands feels a lot like the original trilogy, to the extent that it's almost an upgraded rehash of Sands of Time, except minus all of the charm, character and cleverness. The platforming is pretty fantastic though, but the game's combat is easy as hell.
PoP 2008 is basically another thing entirely, but I loved it. It's very easy and the gameplay mechanics feel very repetitive, but it's just stunning visually, and the fluidity of movement back and forth across the entire world (there's a metroid-vania-esque returning to old areas with new powers mechanic) was pretty excellently done. The character and storytelling is great, if not quite on par with Sands of Time, but close. It's really unlike just about any game, it's more visual and showy than a game.
Legba, i didn't even have the game itself. i had a demo disc install that glitched and let me play nigh-infinitely. i think i even had mods on a demo. i probably wouldn't have made it out of high school if i'd actually had a retail copy... it seemed like that game was procedural before that was a thing.
You actually had the full game - it was shareware and after you played for a certain amount of time you'd start being hunted down by Captain Ambrosia (or somesuch) who would appear every now and then and shoot the shit out of you. I had so many close calls where Captain Ambrosia would show up and I'd hit the warp button in a panic.
The game itself was fantastic. It had some of the biggest campaigns I've ever seen, and there were a ton of them, depending entirely on what missions you picked early on in the game and then throughout. I played games where I joined (and eventually ran) the rebellion against the Sol system, I played ones where I helped rogue psychics escape, I played games where I became an important part of the Sol government, I played games where I said fuck it and made myself a trade empire.
Some of this may have taken place in Escape Velocity: Nova. I played the heck out of both of them.
Ok, I can still buy individual copies of Post Apocalyptic Mayhem. So I'll gift a copy to the first three people that both request it and post their profile links.
ahh, that's what it was; feeble memory, 'n all. i remember having lists of the trade good prices on various stations/planets, and utterly loving combat. i remember an easter egg/cheat for a flying.... apparently it was a forklift. and yeah, loooots of replay. all those breadcrumb quests leading to bigger things.
part of my enjoyment of Mass Effect was all the descriptions of the various planets, heh. and Ascendancy. so i guess i'm a fan of space exploration/trade/strategy games more than i realized.
It's simply their automated anti-fraud thing I think. Steam Support will be able to help you, I've had the same issue.
Yeah, thats what i figured, they want a way to prevent stolen accounts from buying too many things or from gifting too many things back to another account.

Oh well, next time Dead Space 2.
Next time.
sorry and thank you!
the key flaw in your ruse is highlighted in soul-crushing Bold and SeaGreen
it's a double-shaming since you're ashamed of your friends' desires.

easily one of my favorite games of the past forever
the over the shoulder claustrophic look of the first game ensured i never got more than an hour in
I played it a bit, it's sad that they make you run through the levels, you barely have any time to appreciate the beautiful design in some places
i never had a problem with the camera in the first one though
the environments are a lot more varied though, so that helps. less marching through tiny metal hallways
