Where do I buy plush Pokemon?

What? Don't look at me like that. o_O

I have a six year old son who recently discovered the world of Pokemon. He's constantly carrying around stuffed animals (bears, dogs, dinosaurs) and calling them "Pikachu".

Not that I have a problem with my kid having an imagination, I just figure if he's going to be calling everything Pikachu he might as well have an actual stuffed Pikachu.

Of course searching Google comes up with tons of hits, and I don't really know about some of these sites. I work in IT and a few of the sites I've come across so far just scream Danger, red alert!

So if I'm going to buy plush Pokemon, what's a reputable site to do business with?

Do you not have a toy store near you? A toys r us or similar should have gobs of pokemon themed toys. Even Big box stores like wal-mart or target should have a pokemon section in the toy aisles.

    Otherwise theres amazon: Pikachu Plush

Thanks. We have a WalMart but they don't really have anything there. There's a TrU in another town, about an hour away.

Kirbith and I went to TRU just last month and picked up a Togekiss for about 8 bucks.

So they have certain ones but they are super soft and durable.

Also, no shortage of Pikachu there.

Target, Toys R Us and Walmart are the stores I've seen them in. Also hobby stores that carry the cards, sometimes.

I've bought some on eBay - some are Japan-only releases and if you miss the series in the big box getting the old ones is a pain/impossible without eBay.

My wife regularly finds older ones at anime conventions. She's picked up a Sneasel and Weavile via that route.

She also tracked down a Sableye, but that was via other channels.

We bought my son's on Amazon last year. You'll find that the major chains often don't have the primary characters like Pikachu. The best advice I can give you is to always check measurements on the websites to make sure you're not paying $30 for some tiny 4" plushie. We bought this monstrous thing (for much less than it is listed at now) http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001BRDHYM and although he loves it, it's really big.

I'd say stick with Amazon and you should have good luck. It's really a pain that for all the Pokemon games, movies, and card games the toys and stuffed animals have really poor distribution.

Do you know anyone who lives in NYC? The small pokemon center dolls that are like $30 on amazon are only like $10 or $12 at the store. (iirc)
