New Ledo and Ix: Episode VII
Dark Raven XLaugh hard, run fast,be kindRegistered Userregular
finally a little backstory. at least now we know they're not siblings. still leaves the question of how they got together though. maybe ix was being attacked and she saved him? let him stay with her because she felt bad?
i liked how the scene at her house stayed a few beats longer than you wanted. i feel like that's what you would do in ledo's position. stay longer, hoping that what you're seeing isn't real/isn't true. and when you finally realize it is, you grab some of mom's chicken soup and move on.

So it seems that they're somehow the only ones aware that what they're living is a game (well, they don't know it's a game. Maybe it isn't!). But then, what was life like before Ledo woke up to find the town in chaos? There must have been some event that triggered that disconnect.

Well, yeah. I guess. But they aren't aware of it being within that context.. We know as viewers that this is a game. Maybe they do to, but I'm not too sure.

IIRC, Ledo has been referring to stuff like she would if she were playing, but I still think she's a character, even if she's being controlled by a player. If that makes sense.
Hehe, it's the opposite of Mogworld by Yahtzee Croshaw, where all the
NPCs are well developed personalities, and the player characters are mindless zombies.
hey has anyone ever pointed out that ledo and ix sounds a bit like lilo and stitch?

I like these, a lot. Pretty much since the first one. Superficially charming, yet touching on some deeper subjects.
My only complaint about this one is that (for whatever reason) the text seemed to go by too fast. All of the other ones were at the perfect speed. I could read along like it was an actual conversation. But for whatever reason this one just seemed to go by at too quick of a pace.
Or maybe it's just the fact that I'm watching this after a long day, and my brain just isn't firing on all cylinders?

No, I noticed it too.
Was just a tiny bit too quick, could still read it though.

In my mind, both Ledo and Ix have both admitted that there are no other people in the world like them, just automated types. Maybe when they met, under whatever circumstances, they each figured out that the other was not some automaton, and because of that sameness, they're sticking together so as not to go completely insane. I'm looking forward to that part of the story

I wouldn't be surprised if they touched on the 'what if one of them thinks the other one actually IS automated and isn't actually real'

I actually would be surprised if they did this, since the main way they determine if someone is 'real' or not is if they repeat what they say/don't acknowledge other people. Since Ledo and Ix can clearly hold a conversation with each other, I'm not sure what would cause either of them to question the 'realness' of the other.
Well as far as we can tell, each of them probably expects the same thing from every "person" they come across. 1 -- 2 if you're lucky -- repeated lines of dialogue, the occasional story NPC who has a task for you, and a few random encounters with monsters. It builds the expectation that the kid in the green outfit is probably another one of those "people" at first glance. It's only easy to tell if you engage in dialogue

The thing I love the most about these videos is that they are so beautifully minimalist in so many ways. The princess has absolutely no speaking lines, and does little more than just follow Ix around, but the creators invite the viewer to invest in her a deeper personality, an expectant longing almost.

It's insanely surreal.

I want this song.
Also, I want more Ledo and Ix.
Please take my advice.
