Broken Razer Deathadder

So my Deathadder, which I've had for ~4 months, just stopped working a few days ago. When I plug it in, the scroll wheel lights up, but the razer symbol does not. I opened the Razer app, and it says that there is no mouse detected when I searched USB ports. I emailed Razer, but they've not yet answered. Any ideas, or is should I just try to get a replacement?
Oh, I have a mac btw.

Four months is pretty young. If it's under warranty, see if they'll fix it. If they want you to pay for shipping, it's a tougher call.

Def try the warranty rout. If that's not an option; your problem is likely caused by a break or crimp somewhere along your mouse cable. Try to straighten out any bends you have along the cable. If you're feeling adventurous, and have a serious bend at one point in your cable (it's usually very close to the point where the cable enters the mouse) you can cut back the shielding, while it's unplugged of course, and try to find the break and repair it.

Try the mouse on another computer. You don't need any software for the mouse to run, but if you want to edit macros, you will need to install the drivers. That being said, just go on and test it out on another PC and update Razer on your findings. They are usually pretty good about sending replacements and getting things fixed but don't be surprised if they try a round of troubleshooting first.
