Bejeweled 3 is pretty much like Tetris for me, except a lot more luck-based and infinitely more frustrating (in the bonus modes at least). Some nights I'll get on a roll and play for hours, other nights I'll get incredibly frustrated with Diamond Mine or some bullshit and quit after fifteen minutes.

Another update for a new game of TG2:PES, the Jardine matriarch was accused of murder and her husband went to town, bribing her judges and using poetry stolen by her employees to woo some of the lower class citizens on the panel. Unforetunately, it was all for not as her duel with the mayor of their home town ran a little long and she arrived just as the doors to the courthouse closed, which lead to her being declared an outlaw and the happy couple running their asses out of town and to her thieves den across the river.
This might actually prove usefull as she can eliminate the talented members of the rival dynasites and marry into them after a lot of bribes.
I swear, this djiboutian internet had better finish so I can download or torrent some mods for The Witcher, that texture pack seems so sexy and I need to put up some pictures of the happy family.
Also, I was wrong, its not the game in his sig, but I knew from previous posts thats what he was referring to. Give me a break, it's 5 in the morning and I've been up all night. Hah.

Is there a discernible reason why I can't buy Anno 1404 on Steam?
It's on there but it says it's currently not available for purchase.
I would buy portal 2 based solely on the amount of marketing they put into it, so much fun. But I don't have the monies for it. Oh well, I can wait a couple months.
Maybe they're opening a portal through time to release the game early.
Maybe Portal 2 will also have time portal puzzles.

It just dawned on me that this Anomaly: Warzone Earth game I've been playing and enjoying so much since yesterday is pretty much a series of escort missions.
yeah i figured it was a case of the "demo is almost out" thing that happens sometimes.
right now i'm looking for a solid turn-based strategy on steam but i'm not having much luck. most seem to be Civ-ish games, which is not my thing.
Greed Corp?
already bought and played the hell out of it, on two systems! looking for something a bit meatier, although the multiplayer is still really great for GC.
i found king's bounty to be pretty lame, actually, just because the fights really didn't require much strategy. you just sort of walked forward and traded blows and spammed fireball or whatever until the opposite side was dead. also, you're only limited to five units, which doesn't seem like enough for much tactical complexity to emerge.
xcom is great but so stressful.
i have not tried magic, spectromancer or elven legacy, though, thanks for those suggestions!

Blood Bowl is pretty great, the multiplayer at least. Really, for turn based games, you'd have more luck with gog.com. Lots of good classic tbs games there.
Edit: Also, great to see that someone else besides me bought Greed Corp and really enjoyed it. That is one fun little game.

Id stay away from Magic and Spectromancer. Neither have an actual deckbuilding aspect which to me is a big part of playing a card game. Spectromancer is even worse in that you pick a 5th element but everyone gets fire, water, earth, air and the card distrobution between you and your oponent is semi random. In a few of the cards seem really broken, like phoenix which if you store enough fire energy it cant be destroyed by anything or a mind controler that shuts down your gains in elements so you cant do anything to respond. If you still want to play it though there is a free flash version on kongregate, so you dont have to regret the purchase like me.

Actully it was some strong flu pills that did me in, I guess bejeweled is a downer rather then an upper :P

True story: I currently have fever and had fever dreams last night :P
But I'd also like to know what game that is, sound like something that is probably made/distributed by Paradox

Think "Sims Medieval" but done the way you want and done 4 years ago.
It's on there but it says it's currently not available for purchase.
There's rumors about Ubisoft not wanting to patch the Steam version, so Steam pulled it.
Battle tower management also seems kinda crazy.
Also fuck gish.
better off, that shit had crazy Targes DRM

Yes, you'll get the code a day or two before the game launches. That's been my experience with Steamworks games on D2D, anyway.

Someone posted about it on their Facebook page, and their reply was "There will be demo soon, we just had not enough time to prepare it"

Greed Corp?
Also the King's Bounty series contains delicious turn-based combat.

EDIT: Also, King's Bounty as mentioned above and the Elven Legacy series is good (although unforgiving.)
