So you think you got what it takes to venture into the Empire forsake void in name of profit and the God-Emperor? Well then, you came to the right place, welcome to the Seraphin Dynasty.
What's Rogue Trader? Well basically, it's the titular
Rogue Trader, a merchant prince/pirate/conquistador/bastard who flies around space with his crew doing whatever it takes to increase his already massive bank account. I'm lazy so I'll let the above links do the work.

Hamachi Information:
Download Hamachi. Once it's up and running, go to "Join an existing network." Network Id will be Rogue Trader Ave Imperator, password profit, just like the server info.
Once that's done, load up maptools like normal. When connecting to the server, instead of looking for it in the list, use the right most option direct and use the IP next to Chimera *my computer* which should be 5.151.126.153.
Info for character creation.
After losing our 3rd, we've decided to bring the game online to try and find some more blood.
1. Looking for 2-4 more players, but can probably squeeze 1 or 2 more if there's demand.
2. Rank 4 Characters, at 15,100 EXP. Meaning you have 10,600 EXP to spend, including the starting 500.
3. Using the point buying or rolling for stats are both fine, do any rolling need for woun ds/fatepoints/insanity on Orokos or IC.
4. Currently in the middle of running Lure to the Expanse. If you've played it/read it, that's fine, I'd trust the guys here to not meta-game any more then the norm.
5. The Rogue Trader likes xenos, so orks/kroot players are welcome aboard.
6. Dark Heresy Characters are also welcome. They get two free starting acquisitions to counter their now crap gear.
7. After nearly dying for the 4th or 5th time, the Rogue Trader has decided to stay on the ship. A new rogue trader class character is welcome, just keep in mind you won't actually be the Rogue Trader.
8. Post a picture you want for your character, if you can't find one you like let me know, I have a ton.
9. A short bio, a few sentences is good.
I'm sure I'm forgetting ten other things.
Currently looking to use our old time, Thursday night. But since one can't make it, we probably will have to change it. POST ALL TIMES AVAILABLE TO GAME, INCLUDING TIME ZONES. Sessions tend to last 4 hours in person, so looking to make then 3-4 hours.
All character submissions are due April 21st. If we don't have at least 5 by then, we'll be always open for more so feel free to submit one at any time.
Here's a good format for your character sheets:

The Hunt for the Dread Pearl: The Story so far...
After a disastrous run in with pirates that left them in dry docks for over a year, Orthesian Seraphin and his crew of loyal finally get ready to go back to work. Rumors start surfacing all over Footfall that the "Dread Pearl" a treasure world from all the bar stories, has been found. Naturally curious and eager to be making some money again, the party heads out to find what they can.
After a run in with some rather piss poor fake imperial officials, they eventually find themselves invited to a dinner party between all the various lords of Footfall, which like all Rogue Traders are part of. After a questionable meal, in which the party favorite seemed to be Jerazel Brain-Fluke braised in Ork Spinal Fluid, they managed to gather some information finally. The infamous Seven Witches of Footfall were going to hold a Foretelling, in which they would apparently give everyone there the information on how to find the planet. The catch, you needed to buy an invitation.
The next night, they show up at the Obsidian Emporial, along with a few hundred others who want in. After the few hours pass, only the party and the other successful bidders are left, a group of other Rogue Traders who are just as eager to find the Pearl. After a fun little trip to the cesspool of the Cell, the Witchs' home, in which everyone got some visions and insanity, the race was on!
As each Trader and his men sprint back to their ships, and then to the warp jump point, they start scrambling to find out what they can about their competition. The party strikes a deal to work with Madam Charlabelle Armelan and Sigmund Vern Constantine Heidrich II during this time. Right before they are able to make their jump, they run into a curious sight, Jeremiah Blitz's cruiser under attack. Not by one of the other Traders, as might be expected, but by a xeno's vessel. They decided to intervene, pulling in from behind and sending the eldar frigate running trailing fire and debris.
The warp jump took 50 days, of which were relatively uneventful, Emperor protect. However when they left the warp, something was off. There was a planet nearby, but it did not seem to be the Pearl. Their visions had shown them a planet covered by a warp storm, that would lift soon after they arrived, there was no sign of one here. Checking their records it was named Quappa-Psi-12, a world covered by jungles and insects. Spotting a nearby caravan of ships, they made contact and were invited inside. Once on board, the aliens introduced themselves as the Stryxis. After a bit of trading, as their wont, they suddenly and quickly decided to leave the system. The party was curiously uncurious as to why this was, but right before they undocked, they were given a warning to not set foot on the planet in system.
So thats what they do. Pulling into orbit, they set down in their guncutter with their vulture gunship heading down to provide support. As they enter the atmosphere, a massive storm suddenly kicks up. Not to break with tradition, they crash land. After waiting a few days, they get the shuttle fixed and try to fly, only to get blown even more off course. Settling in for a long walk they head out.
From orbit before they spied a large building sticking out of the jungles that dominated the planet. Iris as well could a feel a sort of psychic resonance from the same area, so they made that their target. After several more days of trekking through the jungle, dealing with insects the size of a dog to the ship and plane, and hostile snipers, they reach the temple. They find they aren't the first ones here.
Hadark Fel and Sigmund Vern Constantine Heidrich II are both already here, both claiming to be here first and thus, get first cut on whatever is inside. Before the argument could really get anywhere, Orthesian's arch-militant Aknockulus, had hung back in the forest edge. Taking aim with his Eldar Long Rifle, he opened fire on Fel. The situation quickly fell into a four way mexican standoff with the 3 traders and the not existent Eldar, that was only resulted once the Eldar actually showed up.
High above them on a planet, several Eldar Warlocks appeared. From what the psykers could tell, they began to rip the temple building out of existence. Duly concerned, Sigmund and Orthesian climb up there and see if they could talk them out of it. Failing to do so, they climb back down so everyone can open fire on them. However, wanting to known what, and how they were doing it, Iris climbed up and began to ask the Warlocks about it. Refusing to leave them alone, the Eldar eventually attacked.
The resulting combat left the Eldar dead or fleeing, but along with them Sister Vralia and Loki, along with several houseguard from all 3 groups dead, with Orthesian, Remi, and Sigmund out on the ground. With the most remaining men left, Fel quickly claims the temple, something the other two just recovering Traders could argue. Before turning to go, he shoots Aknockulus, blowing off his arm in return for before.
Taking their turn, the pair find an eldar star map up where the warlocks appeared. While unable to be read like a normal map, their navigators came down and where able to take a reading. After some time, along with a second vision they got at the temple, they were able to discover there were several other map sights scattered over the Expanse. If they could find enough, they should be able to find the Dread Pearl.
The first one they uncovered was at the war world of Zayth. With only Remi and a group of houseguard now, with most of his normal crew dead or in the med bay still, they head down. They are able to find it, but are unable to finish taking the reading before one of the planet's nearby landships shows up. It's massive size, equal that to an imperial hive city, cause rock slides in the canyon, destroying the map sight and killing Remi and most of the guard die.
Dramatis Personae:
Sigmund Vern Constantine Heidrich II
A mountain of man, the party first met Sigmund at a party in Hive Sibellus, on Scintilla. An energetic and passionate man, the party quickly grew to like him. Since then they had little contact until they ran into him on Footfall. On the way out, the two groups agreed to work together to find the Pearl and split the profits of whatever they find. His ship the Hammer of Truth, a Secutor class light cruiser.
Hadark Fel
This was not the group's first meeting. Under the last Rogue Trader, the two clashed over an old crusade cruiser, to be the first to loot the ship. Fel came away the loser here, his ship burning as he fell back. Their second meeting as at the party on Scintilla. There him and the new Trader agreed to put the past behind them, but there was still tension between them. After the events down on Quappa-Psi-12, it is unlikely that he be willing with work the party. His ship is the Fel's Hand, a firestorm class frigate.
Madam Charlabelle Armelan
The party knows little of Charlabelle Armelan. What little they know is the word is the Armelans are a fading Dynasty, with much of their wealth and power now lost in a war with the Orks. On the way out, the two groups agreed to work together to find the Pearl and split the profits of whatever they find. Her ship is the Grace of Sopha, a Vagabond class trader.
Jeremiah Blitz
The party knows little of Jeremiah Blitz. Both a new Rogue Trader and new to the Expanse, rumor has it that he won his warrant of trade in a card game with a sector lord. Little is known of his history prior to this, but he seems to specialize now in hunting down alien artifacts and has already made a name for himself in the cold trade. His ship is the Ordained Destiny, a Lunar class cruiser.
Lord-Admiral Bastille the Seventh
The party knows little of the Lord-Admiral. He was once a member of the Imperial Navy before become a Trader, and runs his Dynasty as if he was still in it. His ship is the Colossus, a Lunar class cruiser, and travels with several different escorts.
Lady Sun Lee
The party knows little of Sun Lee. She is the head of the wealthy and powerful Ma'Kao dynasty. They are known to be an adventurous sort, certainly not an uncommon trait among Rogue Traders, preferring to leave the details of running their empire to an army of underlings. Her ship is the Nihontu, a Dauntless class light cruiser. It travels with a pair of escorts.
Gail Vazkes
The group first met Gail on an uncharted planet in the Heathen Stars, placeholder named CCV-180. The native xenos did not seemed be surprised by they visit, in fact stated they where not the first, but it had been a very long time since they last came. At least one of them was able to speak a dialect of high Gothic as well. Negotations however broke down somehow, and violence broke out. The primitive xenos were armed with swords and bows, even poisoned they did nothing but bounce off their carapace and power armour as they laughed. They stopped laughed once their cavalry mounted on massive horned creatures charged in, scattering the party. They where saved when Gail showed up and was able to get the natives to back off. In payment for saving them, they gave her right to a nearby system that contained a now intact and xeno free mining center and space station. Her ship is the Vindictive, a Tempest class frigate.
Krawkin Feckward
The party knows little of Feckward. He's rumored to be a slaver and criminal, to the degree it's rumored the Inquisitor is looking for him. The group was advised by both Sigmund and Charlabelle when asked if he would be willing to work with them to stay away from him. His ship is the Chains of Dusk, a Hazeroth class raider.

I have a lot of experiance in RP both on line and in paper and pencil, so if those times fit within your frame, you can expect a high quality player!
Thanks!
What about gear ?
I would totally put together an Ork Freebooter, though.
Thursdays would be be best actually, as that's when I would be free.
sweet and powerful psyker from dark heresy would be sweet and powerful in this game...
Steam - NotoriusBEN | Uplay - notoriusben | Xbox,Windows Live - ThatBEN
Point buy or rolling on Orokos/Invisible castle are both fine. 1 Free acquisition at zero modifier. Which works out to one Extremely Rare item, a best Scare, or something in between. Dark Heresy classes get 2 free acquisitions because they start with jack shit for Rogue Trader level.
As of right now, an Astropath and an Assassin, the 2 remaining players from the in person game.
If your up for playing yea throw one up, something like this.

Name: Magos Malachai Ballast
Class: Explorator
Malachai began on the world of Burnscour, riding a storm cutter through the acidic oceans of the planet, reverting to piracy to keep the ship maintained and the crew alive. When he was finally caught and brought to the only justice their was on the planet, the crime lord Kavva Thrask, he was de-manned in the worst way possible. They started cutting at the waist and left him to die. Previous crew came to the rescue however, saving his life with a pair of scavanged rotor assisted legs. Shoving his guts back inside, Malachai was the natural choice when the Explorator vessal crashed into Burnscour. The only augmented human with a twisted graciousness for the technology that saved his life, Malachai was inducted into the cult of Mars and assisted in repairing the Explorator's ship... by leading a raid under a scouring acid storm into the city Thrask had built around himself and tearing it all down. Leaving Burnscour behind, he now serves much as he did in his old life, claiming technology and resorces for Him and his, keeping the Cult of Mars ever supplied as their grasping claws take hold of the reaches of the Kronus expanse.

Name Winter Hart Tavarin, Seneschal
Time is short make the most of it. A good saying. This is how Winter Hart Taverin came to view her way of life. She started small working for the Empire's cause in the shipyards and in the customs' office doing facts and figures that only took seconds to run through. Winter had been doing this for several years in her home world when one day she ran through a list of discrepancies of a certain ship. She called in the Arbitrators to deal with the legalities of the situation. Well it ended up that the ship belonged to a Rogue Trader and his Seneschal had been skimming profits and items away from the Trader to fund a secret cult that he had aboard the ship. After getting the traitor arrested the Rogue Trader told Winter that for what she did either find him a new Seneschal or become it herself. Realizing what the offer was Winter quickly took up the new position. After some time aboard and keeping the ship in good order, the cult which the previous Seneschal funding came knocking on her door. She barely lived through their ordeal and only remembers getting hit in the head with something red and burning, the pain quickly making her lose consciousness. It had been a brand of some sort marking her for the rest of her life.

The man who refers to himself simply as "Brother Mattias" is something of a conrundrum -- a priest who carries himself like soldier. Brother Mattias possesses some rather unpriestly habits, including reading and aiding in the maintenance of the vessels arms and armor, serving as a shuttle pilot in a pinch and volunteering to lead boarding actions in his power armor. He has a mildly morose air around him, as if he had fallen from a height, although he frequently preaches with ease to the ratings, preaching both the rule of the God-Emperor and his servant Saint Druses, who carried the Emperor's light into the darkness and whose holy work the Rogue Traders of the Koronus Expanse continue, albeit in a patchwork fashion. In these moments, the fire of a fanatic touches his eyes. He seems equally at ease with command staff and the ratings and is unafraid to carry the word into the darkness, be it the Underdecks or the feral worlds of the Expanse.
10 points for enthusiasm, minus several hundred for reasoning capabilities and reading comprehension.
will try again.
Yea DH characters are fine, we already have one.
Where you getting the eye, manipulator, and MIU from? Also christ I thought the 19 wound Sister was tough.
Looks good, cept an 8 on your fate roll gives you 3 fate points, not 8. 8 FP would be madness.
And I could see a Drusian Adherent being around Dread. Using the Rogue Trader to help set up a second Angevin Crusade in the expanse, covert the crew/Captain to more mainstream thought, and whatnot.

Fair enough... although if we do get an Orkish Freebooter, I'll change the Hatred to Eldar.
I am inclined to get power armor -- its not like Mattias is good at running for cover...
I'd completely forgotten about your bonus implants*they really need to put the class special ability info somewhere else.* The Eye is too rare for your free acquisition*It's a -20 modifier, your free one has to have a +0 modifier*, but you can make it one of your free 2 implants and grab something else.

Also speaking for the rest of the party, those who don't have it should really considering grabbing Secret Tongue Rogue Trader now if they can, or next time you get EXP.

Thanks. I missed that. As for the secret tongue. Well, there are flaws in Glory's learning. Or willingness to learn. So we'll see. If it's essential I'll add it to the list and remove something else. But I can definitely see her insisting on using the military secret tongue.
Javos Aurelius, Void-Master
Javos has had a not so great history with the Mechanicus to land where he resides today. After a major gaffe with the tech-priests of Jupiter, he was banished to serve on an Explorator vessel far out in the Calaxis Sector. Said vessel was then tasked with performing some up-close and personal examinations of violent warp-storms. Needless to say, the Geller Field experienced some minor "hiccups" that resulted with the death and corruption of many souls. Javos barely escaped with almost all his limbs intact and now seeks new employment under the Rogue Trader to gain profit and hopefully repair his relationship with the Mechanicus.
