League of Legends, or Countdown to every Vayne player making barrel-roll jokes
DAAAAYUMN just had my first zero-death game in a while
trundle is such a brute
I even forgot to bring smite!! ignite/flash made jungling fun
I'm sort of afraid to play him with you guys though because every time I get a new champ and immediately rock with them I bring them into a game with you and then suck and then weep
i need to play tristana more often she is very fun
15/0/3 was ridiculous and at one point i 1v4'd and escaped w/ 3 kills
someone tell me a pro build because i don't think me winging it with 2 bloodthirsters and a bunch of other weird shit is going to cut it anymore though
the tier list being much more brutal to veer away from is not the only thing about twisted treeline though
cause on top of that you also have what boils down to rock paper scissor balance
even in draft mode you'll be in situations where the last pick will counter your team or the two last enemy picks before your last pick will put you in a situation where you're countered and so on
this is because there is only one mundo, only one singed, etc and unlike 5on5 your pick isn't based on a role as much as what ability the champion has
I have a theory as to why I play worse with you guys and I think it is pretty solid
when I am solo queueing I basically have to assume that I am the best player on the team because it's a total wild card
so I am Mr. Man with super map awareness and never dumb things and I basically assume that I will be the force dragging my team to a win
whereas with you guys I know that the people I play with are very good and in many cases better than me, and so this leads to me being somewhat lax. A diffusion of responsibility, because I don't see myself as the last thing standing between my team and a loss.
naturally this (if it's real) is occurring on an unconscious level, but I think it is what is happening
also I've started doing the thing that eventually led to my quitting last time
I get a little zzz-y in games and so get sloppy
It's like being burnt out, except instead of "oh god I've played so much I don't want to play anymore" it's "yes I want to keep playing but I don't have it in me to stay super duper alert computer robot video game calculator"
I love when you do that, gary. Do it forever. I dislike when I feel like people are standing around waiting for me to make all the calls
as for you shank, I don't know about the other things, but I think you're right about the map awareness part. Sometimes you'll not pay much attention at all and it doesn't feel like you just didn't know what to look for or whatever, it's that you didn't look at all. It's not a big deal to me but I feel like it bothers you when it happens so yeah hopefully you can get past that
also also: lee sin is one of those guys that is really really fun to play when things are going in your favor but kinda frustrating when they are not
like I can play trundle and always have a good time but lee can be a real patoot
on the other hand, having a really good fight as lee sin is one of the most satisfying things I've found in this game
yeah that's cause he isn't practical in directing a fight imo. He can do a lot of things but he relies on others to let him do it. He is kind of like jax in that it is easy to feel powerful but helpless at the same time with him. Like you got so much stuff you could do but then it doesn't work out!
it just bothers me because I (feel like I) almost invariably know what is the dumb thing to do and what is the smart thing to do, but that doesn't keep me from doing the dumb things when I start zzz-ing
I am really hard to frustrate when I die and learn something from it, but when I die doing something that I already understood was wrong I go "gil you dummy"
it also bums me out because I feel like most of the time pubbies see the best side of me and you guys see the worst, which is all wrong
The thing is that everyone in SE who I play with are so much better than pubbies that the difference in skill between anyone is so slight that I really don't notice or care.

yeah exactly
He can be an enormous benefit to the team, but if they manage to interrupt his rhythm then things go downhill quickly. I like that they have a character so explicitly based around very precise timing, but there are a lot of ways to throw that timing off, and that renders him inutile instantly.
I mean like how does lee sin operate in a teamfight? All the ones i've seen just sorta kick someone and then explode. I have no idea how he is supposed to do things so I don't know what I would want to avoid doing if i were playing against a good one.
The secret to Twisted Treeline is packing Lumberjack Sion, Brand, and Annie. Assuming the other team doesn't have a similar team composition, it's easy, just slash and burn and hope their Nexus is destroyed in the the inevitable raging inferno.
I feel like if you're playing lumberjack scion and there is a maokai on the other team you should deal 200% damage to him, but be unable to hurt anyone else until he's dead.

That's maybe the best one ever and there are very few other combos that really compare to that.
I heartily disagree that TT is laden with unbeatable combos that ruin the map somehow. I have played many many characters in TT exclusively in random matchups and have a reasonably high win percentage, certainly higher than 5v5.
It's just substantially different than 5's. Far less jungling, nearly mandatory fighting very early in the match (compared to 5's).
Unless it's three tanks (as aforementioned), you have to be pretty dumb to let a particular tank get to god mode, in such a fashion that you would have lost anyway were it 5's.

I support this wholeheartedly.

You can always tell when you're gonna be in an awful solo queue game because the people in the character select won't stop talking about ELO and shit before the game even starts.
I don't think I've ever gotten in a game with know it alls where said players don't feed the shit out of their lane.
In addition to Singed (who makes that TT comp ridiculous) Shen is another major TT gamebreaker. I will admit. So much so that I stopped playing him because it was just stupidly boring.
Shen with a good Leviathan rolling in TT is unbeatable.
Also, yes, wards are a game changer in TT... you need at least one person keeping the middle warded at all times.
TT is primarily about mobility. That's why Singed, Shen, and Tryn are awesome. To a lesser extent Mundo.
Shaco is also a good TT character.
Teemo *can* be, if you want to spend 15 minutes mushrooming the entire map.
In a teamfight, Lee Sin should be mostly chaining his abilities to keep his passive going. If the fight is just starting, Q can be a part of this rotation; if it's winding down, save that for runners. His cripple is underpublicized and is a game changer; the shield on his W is almost worthless, but the mobility and lifesteal is very good. His basic function in teamfights is to put out consistent and respectable DPS with some utility to flavor, so he should be smacking guys forever.
A lot of people try to treat him as a burst-champion just because he's high mobility and has an ult with very good damage--they try to port in and immediately zap somebody (like Kassadin or Akali), which is a great way to rely on his weaknesses and ignore his strengths. If you try to get in, zap someone, and get out, you will make it about as far as "zap in" before you become a little baby. If Lee isn't getting full use of his passive, he runs out of energy immediately. However, if he is getting full use of his passive, he functionally never runs out of energy, and so he has incredible staying power in a fight. The other downside of this is that CC can shut down Lee entirely, either because he can't follow up on an ability or because it starves him of energy.
Miscellanous tips to be the best Lee Sin:
1) Q is not necessarily a great fight-entry tool. First off, it puts you at an immediate energy deficit--second of all, Q2 scales off damage missing, which is entirely wasted against a high-health target. It should be used on runners to close distance and knock off that last bit of their health, on hurt enemies to maximize Q2, or to cut to the squishies if they are terribly out of position. A lot of Lees I've seen use it, without exception, to enter into every single fight--don't do that. Run into fights like a normal chum. It is even better to wait until you are right in front of the target, because getting those two passive hits off Q1 puts you in a much better position for sustained damage.
2) Just because R does a lot of damage doesn't mean it's a finishing move. Stop using it that way. If you misjudged how much life they had left, you just let them go free, you dummy. The damage was just put there by Riot to trick you into saving the other team. R targets are, in descending priority: a) Channeling enemies (Nunu, Kat, etc.), b) tanks that are keeping you from getting to The Good Shit that you can knock into The Good Shit, c) well-positioned squishies you can knock into considerably worse positions. A special exception is made for chasers in a losing fight, because R can save lives then.
3) Try to keep someone or something around to W1 to. Remember that you can't W1 if you don't have the energy, so don't plan on Q2ing in and then W1ing out.
4) Only W1 to a friend in need if your being there will help them. Do not use W1 on account of the shield.
5) Tanky items are not optional on him, and don't wait to buy a negatron until the other team's casters are rolling. He need to stay in the fight to be a threat, so he needs the resists to do that.
But if you're fighting against him? Throw him out of his flow--that's all. Even just a knock-up or a very short silence can do it--once he misses a step in his rotation, he's super easy to take down. He can be a stellar champ when he's W2ed, his enemy is E2ed, and he is landing Qs, but if he makes a misstep and runs out of energy, he becomes a lot less of a threat for the rest of the fight.

Hahhaa, so, we're all sitting at the tower, and the enemy team is like RIGHT there. I decide I want to recall, then everyone else except Rent does.
The enemy team rushes him, dumps EVERYTHING they had on him, and kill him.
Then the rest of us show up and kill 4 of them. Meanwhile Rent is just yelling at us in vent.
I was perma chain cc'd from 100% to 0
