So after waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting these two finally got their act together and decided to get engaged. They’ll be getting married on the 29th of April 2011 in Westminster Abbey.
Who?
Prince William of Wales is 28 and his grandmother is the Queen and therefore will one day be king as the older of the Queen’s grandsons. He is a Counsellor of State, which means that he goes about doing the royal duties of the Queen that she hasn’t time or priority to do, like opening hospitals and patting small children on the head.
Here is in a helicopter, would you Adam and Eve it.
Kate Middleton is 29 and from a
relatively normal background. Here mum and dad are millionaires, but are self-made, her grandparents were working class. She does…. something. Is she still even working? Who knows. She will become a Duchess, most likely. Here she is, carrying her jacket on what was probably the only warm day in the UK last year.
They met at St. Andrews in 2001 where they got together, then broke up for a bit, but then got back together in a Disney happy ending style. They are fifteenth cousins!
Where?
Here
Westminster Abbey, in the middle of London. People who have got married there before (shamelessly stolen from wiki)

When?
The show starts at 11am. The BBC will be covering the event live
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-11767495
as will various other stations like NBC at 4am. So will BBC America. It is supposed to be a public holiday, but anyone in a job that isn’t in an office will be lucky to get the day off. So basically, no one will really be getting the day off because that costs money and we are in a bloody money crisis.
Whatever happens in this wedding will set the trend for florists, dressmakers, caterers, hairstylists and wedding planners for the next 5-10 years most likely. “I want it just like Kate’s!!!!”,
how original.
I fully expect there to be
plenty British food, teeth, voice, looks, mannerisms jokes. It wouldn’t be SE++ if there wasn’t so knock yourselves out.
I am not particularly patriotic myself, but everyone loves a chance to stare at some famous people, even if they do cost us far too much.

Nor did it contain enough pictures of that.
I don't think that counted as a dress, it was like something fishermen would use to bring in their catch of the day.
...I can only assume that various non-human entities are before you in the order of succession?
What did you do to annoy the Royal family that much!

I think all the royal dogs are 150th-180th in line. After that it's all the swans.

I drilled a hole in a coin once, I think thats illegal? Whoops!
Bloody Brits. Atleast Queen's day is flashy and orange. Hmph!

They're Australian though.
So orange! Your national colour is very bright and cheerful!
I cut a five cent coin in half once. After that, OUR queen still shook my hand.

It is! As a nation we're also mental, so we manage to take it to even brighter heights every year.
edit: I like how mental you all are, Dutch people. You're the fun ones in the EU.
The Queen never asks, she always commands
She commands you to pass her a biscuit, make a cup of tea, excuse her when she burps (which I'm sure she does a lot, she's old).
They might all get Royal pardons as a show of imperial good will on such a special day, they should be excited.
Look there's nothing else going on here, we're like the little brother who gets way too excited about his big brother's life.
D'aww.
Aim to be the King of Style.
Please tell me I'm not the only one
Cameron was very persuasive.
I thought it was about pheasant marriage.
I would love to but (surprise surprise!) I am working, but a local pub is throwing a shin-dig and invited local businesses to pedal their wears there so we may go that. But that may be too fun for our boss to allow!
I hope you're not trying to imply that modern fashion sometimes approaches the realms of the silly, inappropriate or downright stupid, Liiya!
Doing so could be considered treason after the wedding.
You weren't.
We are very excited about it.
We are making stamps about it!
pheasants are posh birds. I bet they get married
And Liiya I am sure one day your eyes will meet another's over a bed of rhododendrons, both your hands brushing together as you grasp for the same secateurs...
I feel I should tell you all this
when I finish this assignment I'll go through the whole thing again, then send it for approval
