So I gots me a hankerin' to play a little Halo 2, haven't used my XBox (not 360) much recently.
So I pop in the disc, and load up a level on single player. Not only did it take the level about 2-3 minutes to load (too long), all of the lines looked...well not anti-aliased. Think a zoomed in line in MS paint...very jagged.
Before anyone asks, the disc is immaculate, no scratches, etc. Also, no damage has occured to the XBox.
from what Ranced said about progressive scan halo 2, are you running it in prog-scan? That will kill the AA.
And which level are you talking about, a campaign level or a multiplayer level? Campaign levels do take a while to load if you've played a lot of other games and Halo 2 has to "re-install" it's cache.

Nah, no progressive scan.
It was a campaign level, and the last time I played (maybe a month ago), I also played campaign. But, yeah, I've experienced the "re-installing" of the cache before, this was much longer.
I was trying to avoid confusion, while aliased would be the correct usage, it is usually not used in reference to graphics. Check out the wiki article, pretty interesting actually.
I've never heard of this happening, and I can't find any reference to it online.
It could be some kind of limited hardware failure.
Is this the only game that produces this result?
Does this game disk produce the same result in other xboxes?
Did you recently get a new T.V.?
Fill us in on all the variables.
Whoops, sorry guys.
I just tried Farcry: Instincts, and Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood. Both games demonstrate the same problem, although it was much more noticeable in Halo 2, less in Farcry, and even less in Brothers in Arms.
My A/V setup has not changed in months, my XBox is hooked up through a Pelican multi system switcher which in turn connects to a JVC RX-6000V Reciever. My TV is a Sony WEGA, not sure of the model, but its just a plain old regular TV. All of the aforementioned connections are RCA.
I don't know about the discs in other XBoxes, as I just moved in September and have yet to make many friends, let alone friends who game. I'm not sure if it would make a difference though, as I mentioned in the OP that all of my game discs are in mint condition.
I think its pretty safe to say this is a hardware problem, so if there are any suggestions about what it could be or fixing it, I would love to hear them. I really can't replace my XBox with another or even a 360, as much as I would like to.

You're my only hope
Douche...
Also, I just loves me some hypens.
I'll change it, if someone will Help/Advice me.

If only because I've never heard of an xbox failing in this way, and I've never heard of a pelican product not failing in some way.
