My account is definitely 3 days old and I still can't get an EVE API key. Very frustrating. I hope it doesn't mean "72 hours from buying the game" as opposed to starting from a trial.
Submitted my application to Merch, tag is "Rand Torgan." Like I said in the app, I mainly lurk but I have posted some, mainly in the Minecraft thread. And I am totally not a spy... 8-)

I'm trying to figure out exactly what direction I should go in with ship commanding.
This is basically what I am hearing
"Get a drake"
"Minmitar is the best"
but drakes are not minmitar
im confused.
Anyway. I am really interested in stealth ships and such. Are these practically useful? Do you outfit them the same as Tech 1 frigates?
My biggest priority is moving from salvaging to ratting in our territory... PVP being secondary. I assume I need, at minimum some sort of Cruiser, yes? Or something bigger?
If you aren't interested in battleships then don't worry about it.
Ratting in Dek is all about Caldari, so if you want to rat then the Drake is an awesome ratter for that.
For cloaking, it's more like pick your favourite looking covops ship and train for that, they are fantastic scouts and can even be used to warp/jump entire fleets on top of the enemy if played well.
The reason you're being told to train into a Drake is because it's relatively quick to train into and it's excellent for ratting once you have the skills to fit it out properly. Which means you'll be self sufficient sooner. If you want to get into covops/scouting, the problem is you won't have skills that can effectively make you money by training directly into that. So most are going to recommend you follow the training plan into a drake (including all the skills you need to fit it out, not just fly it) so you can make money without having to rely on something incredibly boring like mining. Then you can train into the specialized role you want.

My basic skills will be ready sometime this afternoon.
And hopefully I can get into Mumble sometime today.

You heartless bastards
I care not for space french drone users, so do caldari or minmatar tend to end up most self-sufficient as far as making money by killing shit

But goddamn do they know how to make some fantastic trailers to make the PvE game look awesome

I take offense at your baseless allegations sir!
You may be a spy in our forums, but you won't be a spy in our corporation!

When you've already won once, the second time just feels like the mopping up is over.
