Oh jesus it comes out on tuesday. I thought it was coming out next week for some reason. Vague memory of an ancient release date.
I can't get it this week then. Damn.
(PSN: Morninglord) (Steam: Morninglord) (WiiU: Morninglord22) I like to record and toss up a lot of random gaming videos here.
Revelations will be the first game I've bought from Gamestop in years, ever since they didn't give me my preorder bonus because it was "while supplies last".
I feel dirty buying from them.
this is the first game i'm buying from gamestop in months. i've being doing amazon and best buy for a while now. but.... free soundtrack!!!
if i don't procure a doctor skin though, i might cry. on the inside. manly tears.
Originally, I was going to use the $50 coupon I got from K-Mart toward Skyward Sword.
But upon news that it wouldn't work toward that game, I've instead decided to use it toward Revelations, while simultaneously buying the Signature Edition at Gamestop (already ordered online), and selling the extra K-Mart copy on eBay for around $55 to break mostly even.
I've followed very little coverage on the game, but I have full confidence it will be as equally awesome as ACII and Brotherhood. Pretty funny, considering how lousy the first game was. Truly this is one of the most successfully improved series ever.
There is one thing I'd like to know, and that's if we'll be seeing the "Scoobies" in this game. I've grown quite attached to Desmond's group, so I hope they get their usual billing in this game.
(Brotherhood Ending Spoilers)
I also hope we learn the fate of Lucy in this game, and won't have to wait until ACIII for the definitive answer.
Totally calling that she isn't dead, and is in fact a descendent of Altair's child (or the woman he conceived said child with).

But that would make Desmond and Lucy (EXTREMELY distant, like 3 bus trips, a long walk and a cab ride distant) cousins! And ewwwe!
Didn't know that the Signature Edition had the OST included with it, that's pretty cool. The music is usually really good, so I'll be enjoying it often.

I get paid fortnightly so I tend to mash two weeks together when thinking about money. Sorry.
Can't get it until monday week, basically. Sucks.

I hope Ezio doesn't get too buddy buddy with Suleiman. Great Sultan or not, the guy was still pretty much in favor of invading anyplace he could make inroads. I hope that conflict of interests comes up at some point.
But Raiden uses a sword. Snake, generally, shoots people.
You can use the hidden gun. I see no problem here.

I started playing the DaVinci Disappearance in preparation for Revelations. I'm slowly reacquainting myself with the controls, but it's pretty hard to stop pressing RB with the hope that I'll shoot a batclaw grapple to the top of a building.
Looks like the in-game bonus content that comes with the Signature Edition is available, but the site to get the other extras (soundtrack, Embers) isn't up yet.

- You get dropped right into the story. The "recap" isn't as thorough as in the last couple games, so I imagine newcomers might be a bit lost, plot-wise.
- The gameplay tutorials are nicely done, and optional (accessed by pressing the back button) so veterans don't have to deal with them.
- Full sync optional requirements have returned. Can't tell yet if they have improved the interaction between these and the checkpoint system (looking at you, tank mission).
- There was an early mission in which I was frustrated because the game didn't explain very well what needed to be done.
It's a horsecart race/fight, and it indicated that I was supposed to damage the opponent when the real goal was to avoid the obstacles in the road and survive to the end of the course.
- They've changed the control scheme a bit. Finally moving away from the "puppeteering" system from AC1, the Y button is no longer a "head" action, but rather it's the secondary attack (like knife throwing). I assume instead of holding down X to get the same effect. Eagle Vision has moved to a click of the left stick. It's a better layout, but I'm just a bit nostalgic for the traditional setup.
- RB doesn't fire Batman's grapnel gun in this game, I find.

Not sure yet. That might be on LS now, like Eagle Vision is, but that seems awkward. Talking to people is now B instead of Y, so it wasn't a wholesale move.
I don't see "taunt" in the in-game manual at first glance, but that doesn't mean it's there. I do see mention of a new use for Y in a fight I will probably end up using a lot more, though. I assume it has to be unlocked.
It seems like there's a way to steal from enemies during a fight.

There is another AC thread that @MNC+Dover had been curating. It's a shame that one died, because it actually had some useful game info, MP tips and such:

Edit: My poor thread got abandoned for this one after the AC:R info got leaked.
I could always resurrect that thread with the release of AC:R. I still work for Ubisoft and should be getting the game this week. Seems odd to have 2 threads going though but maybe when this thread comes to page 100, the game will have been out long enough to have worked out all the MP data.

I mean heck, it would actually make sense this time, unlike Raiden.

does that mean you can't taunt anymore since that's a y button thing?
I will be annoyed if you can't taunt. They even made it genuinely useful in Brotherhood.

Just saying "these buttons do these things" would have been simpler

Well, if I can wait three days for Skyrim, I can do it easily for AC:R.
Edit: And agreed on thread title. Might need a new one come Tuesday.

Is it possible to ask for an early lock, then?
Everyone should post in that thread instead.
