but on the other, I feel like fOu has waited a long time for this kind of success and I'd like to see sc make it to the finals. I feel like if Nestea got int othe finals it'd be like, yeah thats cool but he's been there before. whereas sc is definitely an underdog and i like to root for underdogs
So how viable is a 3gate expand against an aggressive terran? It seems to go well when they're being passive early game (pre-8 minute mark), but I'm worried about its vulnerability if they're going for early pressure, reapers notwithstanding.

The only thing you have to worry about with a 3 gate expand against terran is cloaked banshee rush or some crazy thor or banshee all ins.
And a 1 gate expand is nearly just as safe...but it is susceptible to a 3 rax rush whereas a 3 gate expand is not.

Hey dhal what's a rough BO for forge expand? Assuming I'm not cannon punishing a 15hatch 15pool, I'm never sure when exactly to be putting down the nexus.

You can make a mothership before a second pylon because you kill 8 of your probes, and you don't make an assimilator because you yell at your teammates (you're playing a team game right?) until they give you gas.
Edit: forgot the cyber core, newb mistake lol

Before the forge, if you can. If a Zerg does a 14 pool or anything later than that with regards to pool timing, you can hold a Nexus first with forge immediately after. Even more easily on any map with a choke to the nat like Shakuras or Tal'darim.
Usually what I do on all maps where I plan to forge expand is aim for a nexus first and if I scout an earlier pool than 14 I throw down the forge first.

It turns out things are a bit different now that I'm in silver. Players are a bit more thoughtful and know what to do in response to certain things.
As a result I am getting flustered and nervous like I was in my earlier bronze days, and making some terrible, UTTERLY terrible mistakes. Sacrificing my army into the opponent's, not withdrawing when I know I'll lose, not spending all my money or making enough production buildings.
Just now I beat a guy, though not well, in fact I should have easily lost. He starts bitching about how OP protoss are, and zerg have it so hard etc etc. Watching the replay, he didn't scout my base AT ALL, and had no idea I was making colossus in response to his hydra/zergling army (and that's it). When I tell him that, he says "I knew you were going to go colossus, there was nothing I could do about it" I told him he should produce air units. He had three bases going to my 2 (one of which had run out of minerals) and he should be able to afford it. "I couldn't" was his only response.
Valks are pretty great against Mutas but I think Terrans would rather build Science Vessels because they can also handle Mutas and are very useful against Lurkers, which is what almost every Zerg gets after Mutas.
You see Valks more often in mech builds, I think, for example the Fantasy build. It looks like Jaedong misread that as a mech build because of all the Hydras.

Just went 9-1 with iEchoic's TvT and 1rax expanding against zerg.
SOOOOO MANY BANELINGS
6 forge, 10 pylon, 18 gateway, 18 core, 18 stargate, 18 fleet beacon, 18 cannon, 18 nexus, 18 mothership
