This is Glossolalia, the SE++ forum RPG series started up by DE?AD over two years ago.
Oh this is that one roleplaying thread that I never click...
That's right! Hopefully this should clear things up for you!
Also it has nearly nothing to do with LARPing, and hopefully never will
So what exactly is this all about?
It's a play-by-post RPG that has a tendency to get fairly silly, run by our modest GMs DE?AD, Dubh and Speed Racer. We've gone through a number of games already: from Glossolalia 4++(which covered a scat-filled medieval setting to one filled with space-faring cats), to RADlands (Post-Apocalyptic), to Deucarta (Science-based medieval), Royal Blue (Wacky narrative-based world where any and all things exist) and Derelict (Nautical themed fantasy?). Currently active are Derelict, Ultimate RADLands (A reboot that we are going to try to fuck up less), and [???Punk] (a silly, silly game that has no consequences for anything, ever.)
Alright, can I make a character to kick sand in your character's face?
Sure! Right now Speed is running his Derelict campaign, and DE?AD is running Ultimate RADlands and SomethingPunk. Whatever you're interested in, just ask if you can join in. Your posting history will be thrown through a lengthy and very acute background test, and then you'll be good to go!

This is your character sheet! It contains all the information you, and I, will need to know about your character. Just click "Quote" and copy it from here, then paste it into your first post!
On the first line, we have your character's name, and their current score. Your score is split between three kinds of points, Yellow, Red, and Blue. As the game progresses, I'll award different color points for actions your character takes. In order to keep people from steering themselves toward one color or the other, I will keep the criteria for awarding points a secret.
The second line contains your character's Traits and Trait Slots. At the beginning of the game, your character has three empty Trait Slots. The first Trait Slot can hold a Major Trait, while the other two can hold one Minor Trait each.
As the game progresses, you may gain Temporary Traits. You put theses after your real Traits. Temporary Traits are italicized.
The final line of your character sheet is you inventory. This is where you note down any important items or equipment you might've picked up.

Oh yeah, Speed moved his game to IRC a couple weeks ago in an effort to get his shit on lock. From what I hear, the move has helped speed things up considerably. The Derelicks meet on Saturdays usually, and if you want in, just ask about it in the thread. I'm mostly positive you won't be shunned completely

Alright, so the the first thing you gotta know is that all characters are made up of Traits
There are more than a few kinds of these traits, but luckily they are all pretty self explanatory
-B]Major Traits[/B are the big things about a character, they are the thing or things that define him, her, or it. When your character makes up his mind on what to accomplish, these are the things that will decide how tough it is for that thing to be accomplished.
ie Hacker, Artist, FBI Agent, Otherworldly Creature, Teenage Werewolf, etc.
-B]Minor Traits[/B are the details, things that jive with your Major Trait or Traits, while still making a character special. They provide a bonus to your rolls on a relevant basis.
ie Wise, Handsome, Sassy, etc
-b]Negative Traits[/b also define a character, but more often then not in a bad way. If that wasn't obvious.
ie Naive, Selfish, Neurotic, Delusional, Doesn't Have Limbs, Really Bad Luck
-I][B]Temporary Traits[/B][/I are usually not so good. Temp Traits are most often reserved for injuries, or the general condition a character is in.
ie Bleeding Out, Blinded, Seriously Wounded, Brainwashed, Harvested
So, with that in mind, current character model is:
