Capture Card For Games?

Professor SnugglesworthProfessor Snugglesworth Registered User regular
I've asked a couple of times in the past about suggestions on a good (but modestly priced) capture card, where I can effortlessly record videogame footage (mainly PS3 and Xbox 360), save it, and upload it to YouTube.

Prices have kept me from investigating further, but a Kotaku link pointed to this inexpensive alternative. So I just wanted your opinions on it.

I'm still uncertain exactly how you hook up this thing to your PC and then to your videogame console. Where does the HDMI port connect to? What kind of system requirements are needed for smooth recording? And how much disk space does a 720p or higher recorded game usually take (remember, I don't plan to keep any of the clips, just edit and upload them to YouTube later)?

So yeah, advice please.
