The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
Well that's entirely justified then. What's your point?
That it contradicts what you said?
That's about it, really.
erm... am i missing something here. he said it on live tv at 5:45 in the afternoon. and he swore repeatedly. that was almost word for word exactly my point - that the circumstances by which he would be taken off the air for swearing would only matter if it was repeated and on a non-recorded show before the watershed.
in no conceivable way does it contradict what i said.
Twice is the definition of repeatedly. Moreso it implies he doesn't understand the nature of the event. One swear being let slip has a precedent of being allowed. But two in quick succession would alarm broadcasters that it might continue. Especially considering Rock's comedy style. Causing them to rapidly pull the broadcast from the air.
I get what you're saying Scarab, and you're right. I just thought repeatedly was not really the best word to use for that, since it usually is used to refer to something be done lots of times. Not just twice.
Anyway, I'm going to bed. Good night SE++.

Excited for Luther season 2. Just wanna see Luther and Alice bone'dAns Luther punch more dudes and steal more hats. I'd pretty much watch anything idris Elba appears in
Also I like the shorter format of a lot of british tv seasons, like 6 episodes and done. Easy to marathon a season through in a day. With most US shows running like 22 episodes a season, getting caught up feels like a dang investment and commitment
I'm starting to spend my time watching BBC America now. It is amazing.
Also Dr. Who is consuming my life right now. I just finished up the first season with Matt Smith. Should I go back and watch the David Tennant episodes? (I'd ask this in the DR. Who thread but i don't want to be spoiled for the current season)
Lost, have you been keeping up on Bones? That backdoor pilot episode was pretty bad.
Nope. I stopped watching after the whole stewie bonnes/booth shenanigans, and would catch random episodes that just convinced me I made the right choice, like when bones had a double found murdered, ugh
But I did hear about that and good lord does that sound horrendous. But surely it can't be worse than the criminal minds episode that was the backdoor pilot for criminal minds: suspect behavior? Cause that was garbage

Bones is still pretty alright (although Angela still annoys me to no end), but yeah, the backdoor pilot was terrible, even though it had Danny Trejo and Michael Clarke Duncan!
The double episode annoyed me a lot if just because Veronica Mars' dad was in it and they acted like he'd been around for everything. I understand why, but it seemed like I'd missed a few dozen episodes in between, or something.

Tennant's run had some issues closer to the end but he is much beloved for a reason and there are a lot of quality episodes
If you haven't watched Christopher Eccleston's Seasons, do that too
I wish I had Netflix so I could watch them all. I was lucky that BBCA had a Dr. Who marathon a few weeks ago when the new season premiered. I just finished the Christmas episode with Dumbledore and am debating whether to watch Dr. Who Rewinded, or just move onto the new season.
Tennant's best is probably the best out of all the more recent Doctor Who but I definitely don't prefer him to Smith or even Eccleston. He just tries too damn hard sometimes.
Oh also, in the backdoor pilot the main character of the new show said Angela is an 11. What the ffffuck.
dude angela is hot as hell man
She's attractive, but an 11? Really? I'd go for Cam over her any time.
My perception of Angela may be slightly skewed because they constantly present her as this nearly perfect goddess who is super smart and amazing and good with computers and a fantastic artist and she's bisexual so that makes her even hotter, right

look man
the characterizations on bones are not exactly shakespearean
they're all over the top
also, she's a flighty, waffling ditz most of the time too

Nobody really notices that she's a ditz on the show. It's all just oh man she did this amazing thing with the magic computer, and her dad's a rockstar, isn't that awesome?
(I do love that they make Billy Gibbons into some kind of mystical creature, though I suppose that's not far from the truth)
Animals of Farthing Wood is another name that rings with deep familiarity... But for some reason my mind has completely blocked any memory of anything other than the name. Judging by that thorn thing, I'm guessing it was protective forgetfulness.

But it doesnt.

CHANNEL FOOOOOUUUUR
You are a BRITISH channel
It is bad enough that AMERICAN channels deny us content
But why is a BRITISH channel blocking its content from BRITAIN
Barring black books, which I haven't seen, and spaced, which I wanted to like but couldn't.
Anyway, I'm going to bed. Good night SE++.
My favourite episode of all is Potato.
"Your fiance was only a third-rate sailor, but a first-rate second course."
"Sandra has a good solid anti-murderer vibe. My skin felt very secure and sufficiently attached to my body when I met her. Also my organs." HAIL SATAN

I.......
I have not thought of or been exposed to this show for over 16 years.
And yet now, it's come flooding back.
I watched this all the time.

Skins is utter shit however, it's the epitome of all the edgy and ridiculous programming that's come before it
Channel 4 loves their teen sex so much that they eventually produced a show called The Joy Of Teen Sex and stopped denying it

This has John Sergeant, Marcus Brigstocke and Rufus Hound as regulars.
Would I Lie To You has David Mitchell, Lee Mack and Rob Brydon.
Automatic conclusion: Would I Lie To You is 1000 Times better than Argumental.
I can still see that perfectly in my mind's eye, still. Etched into my brain.
