Dislocated knee, ripped tendons.

So, yesterday I had quite the accident.

I ran into a parked car running at full speed.

No, I didn't do it on purpose. I was racing, and I usually look down when I do so. Unfortunately for me, there was a car there and I ran straight into it with my knee.

I swear it jumped at me.

Anyway, on to my point.

At the hospital yesterday I was given a cast. Its the kind with velcro straps on it so I can take it off and such.

Now what I was wondering is when I take it off to put ice on it and bathe, should I bend my knee at all? I'm not too sure on how I should go about doing such things.

Not sure why I didn't inquire about this while I was there, but I was just wondering if any of you fellows know.

I'd give the doctor a call ASAP, but for now I'd avoid moving your knee too much.

I dislocated my patella (knee cap) in August. During the first football game of the season.

I wasn't able to put fucking weight on it let alone bend it, my foot swelled up as well.

keep it as elevated as possible when icing. Get used to hobbling around for a while. Just dont do anything crazy and you should be able to get by somewhat normally showering and stuff.

I ended up being very lucky. I didn't need any surgery, I just strained the shit out of one the tendons.

    It was the pits man.
