My computer died the other day since it did the three beeps at boot which I read in the instructions as No DIMMS detected I replaced the memory and it still does the three beeps.
On the back of the video card there are two red leds normally they are not on they are now on after changing the power contecter the lights are now off but I still have the beep

When it boots there is a long pause then the 3 beeps
But I changed the power supply to see if that was the problem{ it not getting enough power} and it would still when turned on paused for a sec and then beep beep beep
I tested a few other parts and it's either the mother board or the video card so either way I have to suffer with this computer until I fix it
When you power the PC on does anything come up on the screen, does the monitor switch from an amber led to green on the front, or does it just stay amber ( standby mode ) and you see nothing and then hear 3 short beeps?
Do you have onboard video with that motherboard? If so pull the video card and leave it out. Try booting without the video card. Also I'd go ahead and disconnected/pull any additional expansion cards and place them in/on a static free bag, also disconnect the hard drive (but leave it in the box obviously) and try booting with just the powersupply, motherboard, onboard video, and ram.
If you have two or more sticks of ram take out all but one stick in the first slot, then try booting. no success? swap out that 1 stick and try a different 1 stick. Repeat for each stick of ram you have available that is compatible for this motherboard. This will tell you if 1 or more sticks are bad/good.
If all of that still fails and you are still getting the 3 short beeps then I'd try a stick of that ram in another known working PC if you have one that the ram would run it.
If you're getting the three short beeps AND no video whatsoever you either have two problems, bad ram&video OR it's one problem, that being your motherboard. Could possibly be all three.
I've had power supplies blow and take the motherboard along with other parts as well.
This way of troubleshooting is simply taking the system down to the bare minimum of what it needs to run to remove the unneeded varibles. Then if it still doesn't boot you one by one swap out pieces until you find the culprit.
edit: But, yes I'd say it's most likely the motherboard, especially if you're geeting 3 short beeps about RAM AND no video whatsoever, then the common variable is the motherboard acting up/being fried all together.
I used the power out of a old computer I reinstalled it in the yet another computer to see if it really worked.
It does seem I fried the mother board and/or video o well
