PS3 SSD's

Won a free PS3 slim and a 300 dollar gift card to a local computer store. I'm interested in switching out the hard drive to get a SSD so that I can speed GT5 up. Any suggestions on a SSD that's in the 300 $ range ? Located in Canada if that matters.

    Well as far as I know, the PS3 doesn't support 6 Gbps SATA, so you don't really need the latest generation of drives (OCZ Vertex 3, Intel 510, etc). This is good because it means you can get more space for your money. Look for something like the OCZ Vertex 2, OCZ Agility 2, Intel V series, Intel X25-M G2, etc. You should be able to get a 120GB drive for your price range.

    To address the overall topic, if you don't already have an SSD in your PC (whether a laptop or desktop), I would upgrade that waaaaay before I upgraded my PS3's hard drive. GT5 is the only game that's shown any benefit from a faster drive (that I know of).
