'"You can call me Mr. Johnson, and I have a job for you."
These immortal words have done so much for the world, destroyed lives, created new ideas, the fate of nations has hung on those words.
You are men and women who those words are directed at. The invisible hands of the megacorporations. You are shadowrunners.
The year is 2070, the world has changed. Some say, it's Awakened.'
-Excerpt from an encoded message from an anonymous client
"
That group? Sure, I know who you're talking about. We met a couple of times in the early 70s. They sure got busy. That thing in Athabaskan? That was them. And those incidents in Taipei, and Shibuya? Don't think they weren't connected. Sure, sure, I'll tell you all about them, for the right price..."

THIS is the discussion thread for our Debate and Discourse Shadowrun game. This thread is also called 'how to save my PM box from total destruction'. Our dramatis personae, as of now, are:
1. Winky, aka Jin Thomas, the Autistic Technomage
2. Mazzyx, aka Mog, the Troll Adept
3. Thomamelas, aka Alex Henderson, the Suit
4. Elldren, aka Olivia Wilde the Ork Mage
5. Cinders, aka Who Knows Yet Though Seriously
6. Premier Kakos, aka Guy Who Hasn't Made His Character
Characters who aren't created need to be. Characters who are should be giving me BP breakdowns, and juicy backstories, appearances, goals, personality, things of that nature. Mmm, delicious plothooks.
Mazz, I don't have permission to view your character sheet for some reason? Weird.
Also everyone start giving days and times that work for you, for example
GM Greeper:
Every day, in the evenings.

Nick Dinnah (L:6 C:4)
Jin's corporately-appointed handler.
Jin's young, around 17 or 18, no one around him really cares about his exact age. He was one of the original Otaku, a child that spontaneously developed technology manipulating powers. However, he took incredibly strongly to the Matrix, so strongly that it severely hindered his link with reality. As a result, he developed autism-like symptoms. He's often reserved and despondent, has a very hard time understanding other people, and gets frustrated easily with people attempting to interfere with him. On the flip-side, he takes extremely naturally to the Matrix, and he's extremely comfortable interacting with icons, sprites, and AIs. He tends to think more like an AI than a normal human being.
When he was very young corporations became highly interested in him. Not only because of his extremely well-developed technomancy, but because of how his age and condition made him easy to manipulate and control. He was taken from his parents under the false pretense of social rehabilitation, and was set to work preforming corporate computer espionage. Over the years he has traded hands through multiple different organizations, either through exchanges or kidnappings (he has never given kidnappers much trouble), and he's been put to work doing a variety of different tasks, including network security, software piracy, and the cracking of sensitive networks. Over time he has, out of necessity, picked up a knack for sneaking and hiding.
His current employers keep him in full immersion when he's not being sent on a mission. His only real link with the corporation, or any part of the outside world for that matter, is through his corporate handler Nick Dinnah, who has been charged with taking care of him. Despite resentment at being given a job babysitting, Nick has grown to care about Jin and is fairly protective of him, and not only because it'll be his head on a platter if anything were to happen to Jin.
Cinders and Kakos are in.
Now I'm going to have twice as much fun just to spite them.
His lifestyle is "Full Immersion", also he has 3x10 flechette rounds, so 30.
Wednesday is now busy.
Thursday is now free.
EDIT: that's 7pm Mountain time, folks.
Kakos, mine is in my first post with the link.
edit: here
Also, expect PMs from me, Greeper, as I try and flesh out your characters so I can have more than numbers to go off of. And sometimes names. Sometimes. Cough, Elldren, cough.
Next weekend is totally cool, though.
