Hi Everyone!
In order to optimize the experience for our Open Beta players, we will be performing a brief maintenance that should last less than an hour (current projection is 30 to 45 minutes). We will keep you updated on progress. Our hope is that this maintenance will resolve several of the server-related issues that are experiencing. This includes:
Issues logging into the game
Issues with the launcher not loading/downloading
Rubberbanding or delays within the game
Problems with loading the friends list
Delays within any systems in Neverwinter, including the auction house, queue system, Zen Market, Guilds, and Parties
Is it a good idea to bite down on the 18 hour task to recruit another crafting person as soon as you hit level 3 in Leadership?

Playing as GF. Despite the rubberbanding and laaaaaag this game is a lot more fun than I thought it would be. Feels a little bit like Dark Souls with the blocking and action combat, which is a huge plus in my book.
Shard is down now, hopefully it will run smoother once they restart.
Do you like active blocking? Then you'll love the GF.

How much do people rely on them to be present for dungeons?
They are nice, but not needed. A cleric is more useful. At least in the epic dungeons I've done (would call them tier 2).
But that doesn't mean they are unwanted at all, people still want tank/healer just out of habit. But so far I haven't had a tank really tank the boss, they usually are busy on the adds.
They can tank the boss if they want, but most bosses do little damage and then give a big tell for their high damaging attacks that everyone needs to avoid/block. So basically right now its all rogues destroy the boss while everyone else manages adds and hits the boss when they can.
Guardian Fighter to 8 so far (just about 9). Enjoyed the first bit, when active blocking mattered. Then grouped up with @Varega and we basically took turns lagging. I'll say, Clerics at least low level rip it up in damage. He almost always has the stuff dead by time I even charge in and start hitting.
Hoping the lag is resolved by Thursday; GF is going out of town for the weekend and that means all game, all the time come Thursday night. =P

And if you don't know your account, one way I found was go to compose a mail and click in the To: line. The text tip will say use @my_handle to mail to yourself. Where @my_handle is your global account handle.
And if there is someone named my_handle, I apologize for trying to get your attention. Plus you are bad at names. Worse than me...

We successfully performed and concluded our maintenance on the back-end without needing to completely take down all game servers. We are already seeing the desired performance improvement!
Of course, we will constantly monitor the game and your feedback both on our sites and in-game to ensure you
Was middle of the pack damage wise against 2 guardian fighters. I guess they have more AOE than me? Or damage isn't that distinct at this point?
Was still fun as hell, felt like a real group dynamic with me constantly jostling to get at the brutes combat advantage zone. I'm guessing yellow numbers are for when I have combat advantage?
Also, for those who played Champions online or STO, the Penny Arcade global channels from those games are still active, and provide a means to communicate

I went from 1800, to 2345, to 21, to 3000
so confused
is that unless I am stupid, it is impossible to zoom in or out on your character while playing
this makes it kind of annoying to play as a halfling a bit
Also trickster rogue is fun as dicks.
I get an ability that is basically 'summon sneaky bastard sword' and it one shoots mooks.
That would be all of the big purchase founders logging in. They are allowed to bypass the queue.
Press the 'b' key and adjust your camera, then hit it again to resume.
Wait, the B camera adjustments are sticky? Awesome.
