Word 2010 icon not displaying properly.

I just installed Windows 7 today. I also decided to get Microsoft Office, so I downloaded that using my student discount.
After installation, it ran smoothly. Unfortunately, after pinning to my taskbar, the icon for Word no longer displays. It is instead that white piece of paper with junk in the middle.
What gives? How do I fix this?

Unpin it and delete the icon.
Make a new shortcut to the program (make sure the icon displays properly)
Re-pin it.
