Anyone following [The Secret World]

Just realized, in my years of browsing the PA forums, I think this is the first thread I've ever started.

In any case, I was following up on TOR news during E3, searching for a release date, when I stumbled across a game I read about a few years ago, The Secret World.

Has anyone else been following development on this? Looks interesting, possibilities for fun, but also possibilities for really stupid gaming and horrible goth teens.

I occasionally glance at their page in my longing for a good modern thriller MMO that was never fulfilled by The Agency, but then I remember what happened to Age of Conan.

Yeah, Funco or Funcom or whatever they're called, not exactly faith-inducing.

If this game doesn't have an NPC character named Alex Mac, it is automatically a failure.

In another company's hands, I'd probably be psyched for what they seem to want to do with this. It seems to have a lot of very cool elements. The execution looks shifty though.
