Even if it were just a "shock" film there's too many other qualities in it to make it "all shock." It's a real slow burn and while I don't like horror movies or any movies that get labeled with the "extreme" stamp and I don't care an intense amount for Takashi Miike, it's a real good movie. It's not a date movie and I wouldn't watch it under the influence of anything, but it is worth watching once. A lot of people a lot smarter than I will tell you the same.
If you don't like horror, it is a good movie and if you like horror, it is a great movie.
Yay! I love horror!
My dad and I have been on the look out for good horror movies on Netflix, but we weren't sure about Audition because most of what we've heard is only "This film is so hard to watch!" and never "But it's good too!"
I will definitely check it out.
Audition is hard to watch but in all the right ways.
Conversely, Chaser is hard to watch in all the wrong ways. It made me feel rage, yes, but not at anything in the movie. It made me feel rage at the filmmakers for being so manipulative and cynical. They chose the worst possible way to achieve what they were trying to do. Which is a real shame, since they had all the makings of a really amazing movie, and completely ruined it. I'm coming to find that I'm the only person on the boards who's seen it and feels this way, but I stand by it.

Netflix Canada is still complete garbage. Would life be better without licensing laws? content just wants to be free yo.
One thing that annoyed me almost more than the lack of content was putting the North American edits of Top Gear up rather than the British versions.
"Wait, why is each episode only 40 minutes? Hang on, why haven't these three episodes in a row had a News segment?" etc.
Netflix Canada is going to lose my subscription pretty quick I think. They just pulled down almost the entire Kurosawa, Lynch, and Terrence Malick libraries. What the fuck.
And it keeps crapping out part way through movies on me. It's definitely not my connection, because it's been working fine for everything else. I'm about twenty minutes away from finishing The New World and it just quit.
That's what I'm saying! Why the fuck would they do that? They took down Seven Samurai, High and Low (which is super hard to find), Ikiru, Yojimbo, Sanjuro, and the Hidden Fortress. Now all that's left is Kagemusha. The only other way to get most of those is for a shit bunch of money from Criterion.

Whose fault do you think it is, Netflix or Criterion?
Here's a hint: Only one of them gets more money from you if it is taken off of Instant.
Yeah, hulu paid criterion more money to get the sole streaming rights. Also the showtime shows are going to be pulled soon because netflix outbid showtime for some development rights for a new show.
Well then hopefully Hulu hurries up and makes its way to Canada, because I needs my Criterion. I just needs it.
And I've to see Tree of Life so bad. Malick is easily one of my favourite living directors, and I feel like an asshole for not seeing that movie every day that goes by.

The way I heard it is Showtime is only pulling shows that are still airing new seasons. So, I don't know the status of Weeds, but if a new season is running by the time this deal goes through, all of Weeds comes of Netflix. Shows that are over should stay though.

It is only 6 episodes, sadly, but they are pretty hilarious.

series
3 episodes isn't a series, stupid British people. Have longer seasons.
Yeah, it was pretty awesome. I love a movie that legitimately makes you feel (for good or bad)

Yeah. But only in certain episodes.
I kept thinking it was my connection doing it.
Hmm, checking it out it only seems to be this one episode of Doctor Who doing it.
Well I reported the problem via netflix's site.
I am about 19 episodes in and it is getting a lot stronger. I recommend this show

Oh man it gets so much better come Season 2. It is by far one of my favorite shows ever.
Trailer Park Boys?
By the way, I recommend Louie.

i just finished the second season last night, it's pretty funny
I like to pretend they are in the same continuity
As much as I love Party Down
it always makes me want to watch Veronica Mars.
God damn that ending was beautiful.
I finally have time to watch Seven Samurai and now it's not on instant anymore

Most, if not all, of their episodes are on youtube.

Quirky movies
Witty movies
Goofy movies (did not have "Goofy Movie" on it, before you ask)
and then I got
"Fight-the-system documentaries" or something like that.
Like I watch one movie about pot and suddenly I'm "fighting the system" and watching documentaries all about it.
JordynNolz.com <- All my blogs (Shepard, Wasted, J'onn, DCAU) are here now!
god
I watched ONE movie about pot
ONE movie
and I watched more for the guy in than the pot.
But now it's like, hey you LOVE pot right? Here's all our stuff about pot.
"Kush Movies"
goddammit Netflix.
