Anything you can think of that I could do? It makes some clicking noises at startup so I figure it's probably the drive itself instead of just the usb port.
Clicking noises? Try the freezer trick - put it in a resealable watertight bag, then freeze it for a day or so. This may give a few minutes of operational time.
Clicking is usually past the "you're screwed" point, though, because data recovery probably entails prying the platters out in a clean room - i.e., $$$ recovery.
e: if it there is any probability at all that it's just the USB port, you could try another hard drive case and see.

Yeah, I figured it's probably dead. Luckily that really only means I lost my (perfectly legitimate) music files and will have to transfer stuff from my desktop to the new lappy in 2 gig chunks rather than more straightforwardly. Hopefully that's all there was, but I can't really think of much else that was really lost. I mean, porn is easier to stream now anyway...
I just dropped a D&D book on my toes yesterday rushing to go see The Green Lantern movie. They feel like they're clicking when I move them sometimes.
I mean, go see a doctor if you think there's something wrong. But if you can wiggle your toes without experiencing any pain they probably aren't broken.

Waiting for health insurance to kick in.
Also, for those who did see Green Lantern, did your ears hurt after?

Just network your desktop and laptop together for the file moving? LAN would be faster than the hard drive would have been, even.
No harm freezing it, though, even if it has a low probability of recovery.
I'd spend more time looking for cables and setting up the network than it'd be worth. Mostly I was just wondering if I could save the music and maybe some photos that I'm not sure are duplicated elsewhere. I mean, it was like ~100g of music so that'll take awhile to rebuild. Not the worst thing in the world, but still. I'll try the freezer thing, though. Thanks.

Yeah it sucked. I wanted to turn it off after a certain point. I think many know what point.
But Batman killed stormtroopers to save an adorable puppy!
BUT THERE WERE OTHER FUR BABIES KILLED. But I'm really glad he saved that one puppy. That look it gave, I was like "HOW COULD YOU KILL THAT FACE". I was very emotionally manipulated.
Just thinking about it makes me kind of misty eyed.
So, when I'm dressed as Luigi tomorrow, should I walk around with the mario theme song playing?

Here's what I got in my inventory so far.
2 rating 4 fake SIN
Armor clothing
Yahmaha Pulsar
AR gloves
2 Hammerli 620s
Tailored Pheremones rating 3
Cybereyes rating 3
Vision Enhancement Rating 3
Empathy Sensor Rating 6
High Lifestyle 1 month
Honda Spirit
2 concealable holsters
10 taser darts
30 regular ammo
20 gel rounds
1 basic doc wagon contract for a year
If I'm doing my math right, I should have 11480 nuyen left.
Also, I should probably ditch the taser.
If I use gel rounds on one gun, it kinda eliminates the need for it.

let you put more stuff in them
Are youfinishing your character?
I think 3 extra buildpoints might be more useful.
Hey it's a Nicolas Sparks movie!
i wouldn't even go that far
"gun kata" is a really silly-looking idea
I mean, its not a movie one really takes seriously in any capacity, but I for one was entertained.
To hide from the Nazis of course.
what do you have? Gimme a list
The rest is just laser icing.
