I am having sweating issues. Not like, a little sweat, but tons of it. Every day since I got to CERN, I have been biking the 15 minutes to work, but when I get here (or vice versa, get home), I spend the next 15 minutes in a sweaty, drenched hell. Before I came here, I wasn't really physically active, but I have been here for 4 weeks and am still having this problem. Any ideas or suggestions on what I can do to make it better?
You've started a new workout routine... is the climate significantly different? Those two things can definitely kick off a lot of sweating. I suggest you drink a 12oz glass of water before you leave, and another one when you arrive.
Once you get used to the new regime it won't be so severe. Bring a towel and a new shirt to work with you...

Are you overweight? I'm not sure how much of an elevation change you're experiencing, either - that may have something to do with it. I assume you can shower at CERN?
I bike to work in hot humid heat. I noticed a significant drop in sweating when I switched to a high air flow bike helmet and a bike jersey. When I come inside the air conditioned building, my first ten minutes are in front of a fan to help cool off. Once I stop sweating, I rinse my head under the tap, fix my hair, change my clothes, and I'm good to go.
bike shops will carry a "bikers version". But just get baby wipes and baby powder.. You can replace the powder with a towel if you manage your time better.
But when I commuted by bike I used the powder to prevent swap crotch and put some in my armpits... The wipes are pretty obvious.
I always showed up like 1 minute before work started so yea..
Better to be the guy with a little too much cologne than the stinky one if your BO is bad.
My commute is only a little longer than yours at about 25 minutes or so. I use baby wipes for the sweaty bits, wear a cycling jersey for the ride, carry in a dry shirt and change once I cool off.
It's also important to realise that you can be really hot and sweating heavily while you're riding, but not realise until you actually stop. The air rushing over you has a very pronounced cooling effect, which is obviously no longer there once you get off the bike. It will take you ten minutes or so to cool down, that's fairly normal.

Does wonders for me at eliminating smellyness.
