I still like Ashley's romance. You learn a lot about her, and she genuinely seems to care for you. To me, at least, it doesn't ring hollow.
yeah but she's like super creepy
and also she loves jesus what is that all about
wait how is she creepy
and is religion not allowed in video games or something
It's more the space racism.
She's like a space redneck.
No, she's not. Her grandfather surrendered the garrison at Shanxi to the turians - the only human ever to admit defeat to an alien race. Every member of her family has been blacklisted by the military for that. Ashley is an excellent soldier, but because of that history, she's been on guard duty, instead of serving with the fleet (and thus having no exposure to aliens). Given all that, can you really blame her for being a bit xenophobic, particularly when she doesn't let it interfere with doing her job?

Racism bad.
I don't think this is a controversial stance for me to take.

In a bioware game Carrot would get -100 karma and Greeper would get +100.
Honestly, if I had had the ability to foresee the "welcome back" I'd receive from Ashley or Kaidan on the
overrun colony in ME2
I'd have left them both on Virmire, if it were possible.
oh my god me too
thanks you jerk, screw you too
i should have killed them both
Yeah the unmitigated ass hurt during that mission is hella retarded. On top of the fact you save their ass AGAIN! They give you shit about it? GO FUCK YOURSELF!

I would like some money because these are artisanal nuggets of wisdom philistine.
God I fucking hope not, she was a sgt when you were a fucking commander. But no Kaiden is a higher rank than you are for some awfully retarded reason. Ignoring the fact you died, you should have at least been promoted following the attack on the citadel to full captain, and now Kaiden is going to be a higher rank because god forbid you aren't "commander" shepard anymore.

I think the final straw for me on the good/bad karma system was when I lost karma for stealing from Slavers.
Look, I don't mind a karma system, but like... be up front about the kind of morality you expect us to behave by, because morality is some murky waters.
Some stuff's obvious, like, oh, murdering innocents = bad.
Then it gets tricky.
This is why KOTOR good/evil works out so well. Because most neckbeards know implicitly what's Jedi Good and what's Jedi Evil.
Those question videos are awesome. I'm kind of sad that cartoon question isn't Renee Montoya (although to be fair she's only been the question for the past few years so I guess it makes sense)

Me2/Arrival
Winky's got a point
they are not like, going to promote you much once you join the terrorist organization and commit batarian genocide
so kaidan maybe moving up the ranks further than you isn't surprising
probably should have gotten a bump up after the citadel though, given that you're in all the join the alliance navy ads and shit

Could be worse.
They couled have sorted out the rights to use Heinlein like they wanted to.
In a bioware game Carrot would get -100 karma and Greeper would get +100.
Oh shit they wanted her to like Heinlein? That's actually worse.
pleasepaypreacher.net
I think that's oversimplifying Carrot's argument a bit...
oh.
Oh I see.
Kaiden is a higher rank than you are AND a fucking spectre? WHAT THE FUCK EARTH!?

Oh wow. Do you know which novel she was going to quote from?
DC Universe ranking is officially:
Batman
The Flash
Don't care

Green Hills of Earth.
I knew I should have killed him when I had the chance. I hope that random scientist asari that I let live twice eats babies now or something.

but if you steal their shit, you lose it
Or have people just not like you if you do dickish things?
That way at least the game doesn't treat stealing as 1/3 of a murder or whatever like Fallout 3 does.
