I've been a fan of the Italian ska band Talco since they were featured on Audiosurf a couple of years back, I enjoyed not knowing what the hell I was listening too then looking up the lyrics later, as well as being awesome music of course.

Only other non English speaking band I've really been listening to since then is Ska-P, so I come seeking your wisdom and suggestions H&A.

Vulgargrad is a pretty cool take on Russian punk and swing, and kinda has a ska sound.
I'm a fan of the song "Alkagolik (S.Shnurov)", from their 2005 Popular Street Songs Of The Russian Underclass album.

You might check out some Zydeco bands too. Again, not exactly ska, but can feel very similar.

If you liked Ska-P, you might also like 2 Minutos.

That's the only band I remember from hanging out with my punk friends years ago.

I know there was a trend of Japanese ska bands, I don't remember their names but a friend of mine had a few albums back in the day.

I was a pretty big fan of Mongol800 (Japanese) about 6 years ago. "Chiisa na Koi no Uta" ("Little Love Song") was one of my favorites by them, and it's also one of their more famous songs, I think.

edit: I just found it and am listening to it again an I'm all <3

    Thanks for the memory <3

Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra is another Japanese ska group, a very popular one.

I don't really listen to ska but there is a huge Japanese ska/reggae scene.

    No, they don't.

Major German Ska bands (that also sing in German) are "The Busters", "Blechreiz" or "El Bosso & Die Ping-Pongs" and there is "No Respect" for SkaPunk. Of course there are tons of smaller bands, like "Ginsengbonbons" or "Skatoon Syndikat". Many bands only sing in English, though.

There's a decent German punk band called Wizo. Only album I ever had was Kraut & Ruben, but it's a good one.

Do the Antimaniax do any songs in German? Or the Beatsteaks? I'm pretty sure the Beatsteaks at least have an early album in German

If you're looking for Clash-inspired punk/ska, the Basque band Kortatu went from singing in Spanish to singing in Basque, so that's like two languages for the price of one. The ska influence fades after their first record, though.

    A classic.

As far as i can tell :antimaniax just sing in garbled English.

Took me forever to realise that Chilli Con Tofu was an actual recipe and not just someone screaming nonsense.

I'm going to assume this Japanese song is ska because it's called "Tea Time Ska"?

I turned it off after a minute, but I think that's more punk/punk rock than ska. Also: that girl does weird stuff with her voice and that can't be good for her throat.
