I recently purchased a Toshiba 1TB HDD. I have 2 computers, one on Windows 7 which is my main desktop PC, and my iBookG4 running on OSX 10.4. Since Macs can't write on NTFS formatted HDs, I formatted my HDD using my Mac into FAT32. While the HD works, it seems to take a while before the Mac can recognize the drive. Before I formatted it, it took only 5 seconds or so, but now it takes around a minute.
Is this a natural effect of my formatting it to FAT32? I've already Verified and repaired it on Disk Utility, but it detected no problems.
And an additional question: Since I will be able to reformat my HDD on my Windows PC back into NTFS, is there a way for my mac to be able to write on NTFS HDDs? I know that there's a way for Windows to read Mac OS file-system formatted HDDs, but I have to use the HDD for other Windows PCs other than mine.
Do not believe that the impossible exists. That is why you fail.

Haven't used it, but it sounds like it works fine.
