    Since I can't play I will present the theoretical path I would take:

    be assigned a vanillager role.
    be useless.
    have people become suspicious of me being useless.
    get voted out/survive until the mafia wins due to my uselessness.

    (Alternatively: "annoy people with roleplay, get bandwagoned 20 minutes into the game". No I'm not bitter.)

    BTW, facetious, I've played SOOO MANY MORE phallas than you, (maybe 2??) that I figured out it's about crazy backroom dealings. Send out interesting PM's to those you trust & don't trust. Play with their minds. That's what they're doing to you. Have fun with it and force THEM to deal with you.

    no no no, do not obey.

    The important thing, as with everything, is to think for yourself.

    While also attempting to do the best you can for the collective (if you're a villager) While also secretly masterminding the end of the world from behind the scenes (if you're mafia)

    All of this while also hopefully avoiding the inevitable conclusion that everybody will make that you are the reason the world must end and you having to convince them all, no you really just want to be friends and survive.


    Also, Roleplaying in a game is usually discouraged by those too impaired to do it properly. You are free, of course, to do this roleplaying if you wish, but there are those who will more than likely try to kill you for it.

    The most important thing to remember.

    While somebody may be your foe in this game, in future games they may be your ally. Do not burn bridges too quickly.

    Remember that it is a game, and while some tend to take it seriously and there may very well be some meta-ness involved, every game is different.


    Oh, and Phalla may or may not be as addicting as cigarettes.

    I've played for over 3 years. I think I've had maybe... 2 victories? (where I lived.. I'm in the odd camp that considers dying as losing even if my side wins the game...)
