Yeah but Synth judging by your taste in movies if you despise it with you're entire being I'll probably walk out entertained :P
On what basis? My view of Battle: Los Angeles as being not terribly memorable? Me thinking of Avatar as being United Fruit/Belgian Congo in space rather than Pochohantas in space? As of late, I haven't really said much about my taste in movies.
But I'll take that wager. You can spend money on the film, actively regret it afterwards, while I'll skip on watching yet another horrid video game adaptation and spend $7 to $9 on something useful, like groceries. :P
How can you say with 100% certainty that it's going to be bad? It's not like Legendary has a terrible track record...
Given that none of us can say anything about the film with 100% certainty, I'm pretty confident that the treatment of it will be quite poor overall, especially given recent video game adaptations from Hollywood and particularly when you consider part of the Mass Effect appeal is in crafting your own version of the protagaonist, something a film obviously cannot do, but also the fact that the alternative--make a movie about the First Contact War--personally does not interest me (it's just part of the ME mythos I don't find as interesting, YMMV). For me, that's three big strikes against. But you're correct--it's a "in all likelihood" scenario.
You'll notice I haven't said anything about the mini-series (?) that's supposed to exist seperately. I actually have a bit more hope for that, personally.
The first book in the series was good and I think would make a good movie. The settings wouldn't be expensive to film and it had a lot of scenes that were all humans. It's also before the games so we wouldn't have to have the movie deal with Shepard at all.
The movie could be done well especially if they avoid dealing with Shepard. Not that I have high hopes, but I have good ideas of where it could go and how it could be done to be a good movie and not just a cash in on the name ala Tomb Raider or Max Payne.

Regarding that picture at the top of the page:
I really don't like the crewman's uniform. The officer's dress, or even the science uniform, is way better.
I think we can all agree that orange getup looks really weird, though.
One weird consequence of the ME3 trailers thusfar is that apparently, on Earth, humans basically wear the same thing they wear now (or, at least, anchormen and women do).
Versus the weird space-tuxedo that's standard everywhere else.
Who wrote I Remember Me, Taky this mystery needs solving because that side quest owns hard. I'd probably rate it as the single best interaction in Mass Effect 1 and the best reason to play a colonist. That sidequest always does a flying elbow drop on my heart strings.

Oh yeah I remember that. My renegade shep was such an ass to her. It made me feel like a terrible person in between kicking batarians and shanking criminals for their money.
The dossiers in Lair of The Shadow Broker? Awesome. Very awesome. I enjoyed discoving that Joker, Grunt, Garrus, and Jacob are ALL watching the same Asari porn. And Garrus' last conversation with his mom/sister/female relative... I think.

I don't think I'm going to submit to Origin atm. I held out on Steam until it didn't suck and I'm going to do the same here. And in that mind has there been any word on a boxed collectors edition. As long as it doesn't require Origin I'd be all for that.

What's that you say? I can get another game through EA's digital download service? And the very same download service that's the reason I can't play Mass Effect 2 anymore no less?

That lovely passage crafted months ago about Shepard being terrorized by a very controlling Tali.
I still get a kick out of that.
At least not with me
The last movie I saw in theaters and didn't enjoy?

Doesn't a Kro-hug feature a head but?
And if you do it well enough, aren't there mating requests?
It just doesn't seem right that you didn't get your first infraction by posting terrible fan art.

Am I to be undone by a digital hoodie and a sniper rifle?
Yes I am. The cross-post is mighty.

I write about video games and stuff. It is fun. Sometimes.
Fuck the hoodie and rifles, I'll be undone by a robot dog...

Fun fact: Only the second "collector's edition" I've ever purchased for a game. I got the Fallout 3 lunchbox/bobblehead/art book thing.
This one, of course, will be leagues better than the FO one.
I don't think I've ever bought a collector's edition game before. And I've certainly never pre-ordered a game more than a month in advance.
Mass Effect 3 collectior's edition for PC: on preorder. :!!:
On my sleeve, let the runway start
(I have the Collector's Edition tin for Mass Effect, though, which is kind of a funny story in and of itself)
i thought i was, then i remembered the Digital Collectors' Edition of Mass Effect 2, and now i'm going vanilla this time around. :x

Gotta lock that shit down.
I've also already submitted the time off request to my boss as well ;-)
