Steam! They have sales and stuff. They are going to take all your money.

They just finished having a massive sale on a large portion of their catalog. Don't despair however, because although the summer sale is over, steam also has daily specials and midweek/weekend madness sales. A game (or a couple of games) are selected and discounted deeply, sometimes even more than during the summer sale, for twenty-four hours (for the daily specials) or forty-eight hours (midweek/weekend madness).

So come here and talk about what games you bought and how you blew next month's rent.

Here's what I'm going to do, I'm going to buy some of the games I really enjoyed that are on sale. Considering that most of these are going to be indie games anyway, and as such I want to give their designers as much of my money as possible I'm just going to buy them right now. If you see something in there, ask and you shall receive! Many of the cheaper ones will be refreshed as they are claimed! The games in there are games I think are worth playing and worth supporting, and I want everyone to be able to have the same sorts of experiences they gave me. Unused copies will be gifted to someone at some point anyway in a "You haven't played X? Fix that now!" sort of way, so you can save me the trouble of having to hoist this on some unfortunate SOB by claiming your own right now here in this thread.

    anyone had success setting up a LAN for Magicka?

    with Steam offline, router unplugged, firewalls down, computers restarted, my beau could see my game, but couldn't connect, and i couldn't see his hosted game at all. looks like it might be Alien Swarm, Moonbase Alpha and singleplayer for Steam options at the con again.
