If I cared enough to make a thread about it, I wouldn't buy a chair without sitting in it. Head over to your nearest office supply store and/or Ikea and put your butt in everything.

Having switched from those $10 swivel computer chairs with coarse fabric cushions to a 2nd hand $80~ costco office chair, I would agree that having lumbar support is probably one of the things you should be looking for.

I would agree with this.
Buying a piece of furniture online that you will be spending a lot of time on is excessively silly.
Just go to a store dude. Computer chairs are a very subjective topic. You're not going to learn anything more from us than you will by just looking at pictures of one and thinking "gee that looks comfy".
I was trying to find a meshback chair, and none of the places near me have one. I was wondering if the two I linked are good chairs to buy. I am trying to buy something around $200 and it is really hard to figure out what a quality chair is online.
These chairs are alright if you only sit in it for maybe a half hour or so at a time. But if you're going to be sitting in for hours on end, you'll be miserable.

I sit in mine for hours at a time and it is very comfortable.

I had 2 of that chair in an old apartment and any time my friends and I had a lan party or something, those chairs equaled misery. Something about them made everyone's back and ass hurt.

I have the exact model Chris uses as well, and I find it largely comfortable, though not nearly as nice as the ones we have at work, which are similar to the ones the OP links
it is completely falling apart after two years, including having one of the wheel legs break clean off
I am just waiting to move to my next place and I'll be getting a nicer one

I have the same chair and I love it. I sit in it for hours upon end without a problem.
So we get stiff once in a while. So we have a little fun. What’s wrong with that? This is a free country, isn’t it? I can take my panda any place I want to. And if I wanna buy it a drink, that’s my business.

If you can up that price a little bit, you can probably score a refurb steelcase or herman miller, which won't break down after a few years like a lot of other chairs.

That's more of a boardroom type chair then a task or computer chair. Try to get something more adjustable as if one thing is off and doesn't fit you right it will drive you nuts.
