Vampire: The Masquerade: Bloodlines mods

So, I just bought VtMB from Steam yesterday. I've had the disc version for millennia but never got around to really delving into it.

Now I'm looking for some mods that work with the Steam version. I'd prefer a pretty "vanilla" experience but with horrendously broken stuff fixed. But I'm open to any recommendations.

Im a little confused as to which patch is the patch to get since theyre apparently on patch 7.5. I assume 7.5 is the patch to get, but like Drez Id rather keep things vanilla for my first play through.

don't get the big fan patch if you want a vanilla experience because it changes shit up beginning from 'before the game starts'.

There are 2 fan patches, by the same people. A "Basic" one and a "Plus" one. You'll want the Basic one. It mainly fixes bugs. The Plus one does that and makes a lot of other changes.

I wasn't super impressed with the extra content patch (plus), but the bugfix one is critical

I played through with the basic version of that patch recently and had no problems. I recommend it.

(Note: It's a single download whether you want the basic version or plus version. When you install it, you're given the option between basic and plus.)

Apparently, I just tried to start it up and I got an insufficient memory error (apparently 4gigs is less than 15megabytes).

I'll try out the patch once I break X3's hold on me. Wish me luck.

If widescreen is important for you, I found this, and so far its worked for me.

The widescreen patch is included with the latest version of the "unofficial patch".

Look in the "extras" folder it creates and run the ResPatch utility.
