So, obviously the standard iOS ringtones are /lacking/ at least in my opinion. School me on easy to use apps that let me create my own ringtones.

Doesn't iTunes let you create ringtones from any iTunes Store purchased piece of music?
yes, create a duplicate file and change the extension to .m4r. Then open that file in itunes and click get info and change the start and stop time to be at most 40 seconds (I think it's 40).
