Temporary Interior Doors/Dividers - Resolved

H/A,

I have very little experience with home improvement type projects, so any input here would be greatly appreciated.

My girlfriend and I are scouting new apartments and found what we believe to be suitable quarters. We haven't yet gone in to walk through a unit (they don't have one available until later this week), but from the available pictures and floor plans, it appears that there is no door between the bedroom and bathroom. This is a little weird, since we think a little privacy is a good thing when taking care of bodily functions.

What I'm hoping to find is some kind of temporary/portable/easy-install divider or door that would provide a buffer between these two rooms. Ideally, something with some kind of sound-proofing qualities. I know that you can buy those accordion-folding paper door things, but that doesn't seem like it'd do much for blocking out sounds...

Oh, and to further complicate things, I believe the ceilings are 9ft. at this complex, so I don't know if it'll be possible to find something that goes floor to ceiling.

We have not yet asked the apartment complex about this matter. I was planning on bringing it up when we go in to walk through a unit later this week.

Does anyone have any experience or suggestions with this kind of situation?

Thanks!

tl;dr - Need a door/divider between bedroom and bathroom in apartment complex w/9ft. ceilings. Sound-proofing a major plus.

Is there no doorframe? Like there's just a gap where you'd expect a door? That's really weird. Where the heck is this apartment at?

Surely a door exists and it just doesn't show it on their floor plan.

Sometimes sinks wont be behind a door, but surely the shower/tub and toilet are.

To be clear, this is an apartment that is designed for(/by?) artists. It's kind of like a studio, but... not....

For example, there is a sliding door/divider that can be put up between the living room and bedroom, so if that's open, it may as well be a studio. Based on the artsy-fartsy folk they're catering to, it wouldn't surprise me if there was, in fact, no door between the bedroom and bathroom.

Update: I just tried calling the complex back and was able to reach someone. The lady let me know there is indeed a door at both entrances of the bathroom. It doesn't show in the pictures and floor plan because it's a sliding door that fits into the wall, rather than a swinging door. False alarm.

Sorry for the pointless thread. This can be locked/deleted/burned.
