Military overseas, streaming movies

My family and I just recently moved overseas to Okinawa, on a three year tour. I'm slowly getting everything set up back to normalcy, but I am seeing that pretty much all of my streaming video services like Netflix are not allowed over here. Are there any solid alternatives or ways to get Netflix to work like it did Stateside? I am missing my weekly documentary fix and my daughter is dying for new shows that are in a language she can understand.

Any help/advice would be golden!

I'd recommend you download foxyproxy for firefox, and then try using it with free proxy servers. http://samair.ru/proxy/proxy-01.htm lists a bunch. Not all of which are free, but the list points out ones that cost money to use. Foxyproxy isn't bad to use, but there are guides online if it seems confusing (ie, if you use firefox as your primary browser, you want to set it to only use the proxy server when connecting to specific sites like netflix.)

I haven't tried this with Netflix specifically, and given that you'll be bouncing from Japan to the US, you might find lag issues and end up needing to set netflix to use one of the lower bandwidth settings. But, in Canada, it works fine for access to Hulu and iPlayer.

Go download hotspot shield. I'm an Australian living in China and I've used for a number of years in 3 different countries.
It gives you an american IP address and the great thing about it is it changes the IP address you use it so it won't get blocked like a lot of others do.
I| usually use it for hulu.com and googletalk. It works great!
