It's a great movie. You know you shouldn't be cheering for him what with the whole 'causes cancer' thing, but you just can't help it. Damn good.

Thank You for Smoking was fucking awesome. I expected a diatribe against cigarettes, but it wasn't that in any way, shape, or form. It was just fucking great. I actually used a Nick Naylor avatar for awhile. <3

It was authored by William F. Buckley's son, and it's a distinctly libertarian movie. Nick Naylor really is the hero from that perspective.

And yes, that movie is damn good.

    Ok, here´s a story:

A friend of mine brought cookies home from china. So yeah, I try one of them, no problem.
Have you ever had mothballs in your mouth? No? Me neither, but they simply have to taste like this cookie.

I dunno. Seems we've been down this road before. Allow me to recap.

    1-37. God, that looks horrible.
    38. A conservative version of the Daily Show? Ugh.
39-58. Yeah, but the Daily Show isn't really liberal.
59-event horizon. The Daily Show is funny, this is not, it will fail.

I think it can be summed up with this - in front of a studio audience, they need a laugh track.

South Park is the closest we're going to get to conservative humor anytime soon. The difference between South Park, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report and this is that the first three put the humor first, whereas the latter puts the target first. If you do that, it will never be funny.

True enough. Doesn't need a separate thread. However, it is worthy chat thread material.
