That image on the previous page riles me a little. Wanting to make games is not a charity thing. It is a business thing. Child's Play is a charity thing. If you get my notice by invoking charity then you don't get to skim some off the top for yourself! Thus my money went 100% to Child's Play.
But you know, they let you split it how you want so it's all good.
Also berating someone in the thread for doing a thing they let you do is not on. If they wanted a minimum donation they would have set it.

I'm not sure they're invoking charity, they're invoking "we're poor, please pay us more than a dollar for 7 games."

They're incredibly upfront about the whole thing. The image only shows up if you donate so little as to cost the operation money. In which case, nobody benefits and you're just hurting the developers.
I wasn't berating adytum: I was just wondering why he'd buy the bundle if he didn't like any of the games. It's his dollar, so he's free to do with it as he pleases.
I got the impression that adytum's goal was to tip the Humble Bundle people a buck to support the idea and from a quick scan of their website I didn't see a way to do this that didn't involve buying the bundle. But then again maybe I'm just blind, or dumb...or both :P
Atom Zombie Smasher is very, very fun. Not many games can hold my attention span very long but I just put a half hour into it and I love everything about it.
It's still a dollar (well, say, 85 to 90 cents, depending on transaction fees/a couple pennies for the bandwidth) they didn't have before!
Yeah, and you aren't diminishing some stock of goods that could do more good for them someplace else.
This needs to be stressed.
Good-will sales are very different in the digital realm compared to the physical one.
Even a dollar is beneficial, and berating someone for being a cheapskate will just make them annoyed and possibly pay less than a dollar in the future for some petty reason.
Hammerfight is so hard. Kelete is impossible. Just ... kills me instantly.

Scanning through the thread I couldn't find mention of it, so If I buy the bundle can I gift parts of it or only give the code for the full. And second, if I put the code in my own Steam, does it give me a copy of each game I already own to gift out?
There are a few games I want, a few I have, and a few I would just give away to get the others. But, if I can at least get all the ones I don't have and gift the doubles, I'm so buying it.
Of course, you could just pay like 5 cents for an extra copy.

Makes me sad. Probably won't be getting it then...

As Durandal points out, you can just pay a minimal amount for a second Steam code if you feel it's fair to do so due to the number of games you already own. There's literally no reason to not buy this bundle.
So for an initial outlay of $10 for some pretty sweet games, they've now given me an extra seven games for an additional price of zero dollars? Some amazing shit right there
edit: Nope looks like I was thrifty that day, $25 went into their coffers
I almost wonder if they'll lose any sales because of the number of games they're cramming into the bundle at this point. If you're a conscientious person and you'd like to pay a "fair price" for it all, it's actually kind of intimidating.
I almost feel like I should go back and kick in more money now, especially because I sent about two thirds of my original $30 purchase to Child's Play - which means I've paid a little less than 50 cents per game at this point! Of course, I didn't ask them to keep adding stuff...
You can only gift the bundle in full through a single code.
There are no duplicates to gift if you already own a game in the bundle.
Not true I think.
I somehow ended up with a giftable copy of Cogs after registering my HIB3 code.

Turns out the bandwidth provided to download your seven/twelve games for basically forever is provided by pixies and unicorns who have no concept of currency.
Okay, skipped the weird bugged level for Hammerfight
That... is a weird game.
Edit: Okay it was like chapter 4, turned down the king, level 3. It was a giant... sort of squid-boss? Just completely tore me apart, sometimes by pulsing right as I got in the door, flattening me against the wall and crushing me. It was... not a good level. But I'm done now! Weird, buggy, frustrating game that I'm glad I got to try.

Cogs has reminded me that the worst part in Resident Evil 4 is the slide puzzle mini-game. The game is polished to all-hell and there's plenty of incentives there to work as efficiently as possible, but slide puzzles in general just infuriate me. Onto Hammerfight!
maybe a long shot, but does anyone still have a humble bundle #1 steam code?
I'd be happy to gift a hb#3 to you for it, $10 to CP or however you want to divide it.
Hammerfight says on Steam that it's "not available on my current platform" (running OS X Snow Leopard). Crayon Physics won't show up in my Steam library at all, even if I have it show all games. If I go to the store page, it says I already own the game, but nothing happens if I click "play now." Anyone else having these problems?
I guess I can always just download the non-steam versions...

So, is there any way to put Atom Zombie Smasher on Steam
I already used the Steam codes they gave me before they added it!

They have customer support chat on the main site, and the usual emails.

Atom Zombie Smasher is much more manageable if you use the built in campaign modifiers (which for some reason don't show up most 1st campaigns it seems like). Use some for a campaign or two. Then do it vanilla. Then do the extra difficulty modifiers.

Yeah, where am I supposed to find these campaign modifiers?
When starting a new campaign. Like I said, for some reason it doesn't pop up for your first campagin (not sure if it's intended or a bug), but should after starting again.
I honestly don't know why everyone on my Steam friends list DOESN'T have this. You could literally pay 1 cent for the bundle. If you feel guilty, you can pay them more later. :-P

It doesn't affect other giving!
eh, huh? The HIB site says 4 days 3 hrs 30 minutes left to buy it.

It was actually a random glitch, was unintended.
Fuck me I love Hammerfight
like, a lot
but it's difficult and sometimes frustrating. I could never get my mouse calibration quite right.
try and remind me who Kelete it? I might be able to give you some advice

Then it should just pop into your library.
If it weren't for the music and quirky vignettes to lighten the mood, a new player would probably get depressed at how many people they let die.
