Orokos 4e help?

I haven't played in pbtp games in a while, and haven't used Orokos in 4e yet (i usually use myth-weavers). I see that it looks like Orokos is the best system to use in these types of games because of their integrated dice roller. The problem is I'm having trouble creating a character sheet. When I click the link to "add character" in the sheets area of the site, it asks me to browse for a .dnd4e file. What is that? Am i supposed to have a character sheet already filled out and it merely uploads it? where can i find a .dnd4e file, or where can i create one?

Orokos doesn't have a forums, and since so many penny-arcade pbtp games use Orokos, I could only think to post this question here.

I believe dnd4e files are only created by the D&D Insider character creator, which is a paid service. There used to be a free trial available, but apparently there isn't anymore. (I went searching just last week).

The .dnd4e file is the output file from the online or offline character builder. I'm not sure there's another way to upload to it without one of those two options available.

Hopefully Infidel will see this and have more comprehensive advice for you.

Thanks for the input. Hopefully someone will know if there is a way to utilize Orokos without a DnD insider account.
