My input devices are SILLY

After a disastrous attempt at installing Vista, I recently formatted my hard drive and started from square one in XP Home. Since then, I've been having a strange issue with my mouse and/or keyboard.

Whenever I'm playing a game, I can use either the mouse or the keyboard without any problems. If I try to use them at the same time, though, they get very laggy and unresponsive. In WoW, for example, if I'm holding down the right mouse button to mouselook while moving diagonally with W and D, the mouselook will be very jerky, and the camera will be a second or two behind where I'm moving it. Even if I'm running straight forward, if I'm moving the cursor around at all, when I let go of W, I'll keep running for a few seconds.

I'm using a Saitek Eclipse II keyboard and a Logitech MX1000 mouse, both in USB 2.0 ports. I've tried using a PS/2 keyboard instead of the Saitek, but the problem remained. This makes me think that the problem lies with the mouse, but I have no clue what could be causing it. I've tried unplugging both devices and plugging them into different ports, as well as downloading the drivers for the mouse, both to no effect. There don't seem to be any drivers for the keyboard aside from what's packaged in Windows.

Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

It is pink color settled and is somber a little.
