All of my thread titles revert back to "undefined!!!"

I am unable to create thread titles.

Thanks.

This feature is working as intended

Haha. I had a sneaking suspicion...

    Thanks!

Oh it wasn't deliberate. It's a bug. It's just that if it's keeping you (and apparently only you) from making threads, it's a bug that's working as intended.

I saw a spam thread in D&D yesterday with the same title. Lets just consider this further proof that this is not a bug but a feature.

The evidence shows that it doesn't prevent him from making new threads though, just naming them.

I won't make a thread if I can't title it appropriately. Like, for instance, if I actually needed some legal help...I would want to make a thread called "Legal Help," not...well, you know.

You can edit the "undefined!!" title after the fact.

Create the thread, edit the OP and replace the title.

e: This has also happened to me. Just once in H/A

It happens with logging in too.

Typing in your password first seems to take care of it.

I'm guessing it's another in the wealth of bugs this forum has with IE7.

I'm currently experiencing this bug as well. IE9, FF 3.6, Chrome. Guess it's tied to my account.

I have the same issue with Firefox 3.6 and MSIE8.

I run into this bug every time I try to sign in (FF 3.6.18). My landing page for the forums is

    http://forums.penny-arcade.com/discussions/bookmarked

However, if I'm not signed in, I'm redirected to:

    http://forums.penny-arcade.com/entry/signin?Target=discussions/bookmarked

where I'm met with the undefined! entry in the username. Any attempt to fill in text into the username field will be overwritten by undefined! text as soon as the cursor is moved.

Furthermore, if you hit the sign in button on that page, you're taken to:

    http://forums.penny-arcade.com/entry/signin?Target=/entry/signin?Target=discussions%2Fbookmarked

    and the next time

    http://forums.penny-arcade.com/entry/signin?Target=/entry/signin?Target=%2Fentry%2Fsignin%3FTarget%3Ddiscussions%252Fbookmarked

ad nauseum. If you attempt to sign in using the undefined! username you are redirected to:

    http://forums.penny-arcade.com/entry/signin

which will allow you to sign in properly.

    I would download a car.

This was preventing me from registering an account, but I was able to work around it by using NoScript to (temporarily) block penny-arcade.com.

Every new thread I've made has reverted to undefined

    Using IE8

Having the same issue whenever I try to log in, the username is 'undefined!!' and reverts to that no matter what I type in there. Putting my password in first didn't fix it, but getting it wrong took me to a different page where it didn't happen.

I had this on my work computer, and editing the thread afterwards still gave me the same problem.

But it works fine on both my home PCs

Happened to me using FF 3.62 on Ubuntu 10, while trying to make a new thread in H/A.

(3.62?! Need to update my girfriend's computer...)
