All right, so I just built my first desktop. It works fine in general, but here is the thing:
Windows does not recognize any USB or media ports that are not on the motherboard itself. Specifically the USB ports on the front of my case, alongside the headphones and mic jack, do not work.
Now, I am fairly sure I plugged everything in right. I use a USB keyboard, and when I'm dicking around in my BIOS I can use the USB ports on the front to plug in. It's receiving power, it's plugged into the motherboard. It's only when I boot into Windows that all of my non-mobo outlets magically stop working correctly. They're receiving power (I'm using one of the non-functioning USB ports right now to power my speakers) but Windows doesn't recognize them as being there for some reason (I'm using the headphone jack on my mobo to put sound in my speakers).
I've got an MSI P67A-G45 in a CM690 II and I'm running Windows 7.

Maybe look into the driver package for your motherboard/chipset? See that it's up-to-date?

Yes, I did this, assuming this is the right page to go to: http://www.msi.com/product/mb/P67A-G45--B3-.html#/?div=Driver&os=Win7 64
Installed those first three drivers there; no change.
