So, I need to see if it would be possible to pull the video from a non-Youtube source (embedded) into a file (avi, whatever)? We have all permissions necessary from the station to use the pertinent parts of the clip.
I can link the video if that would help, but it appears to be a run-of-the-mill flash embed.
A good first try might be to use this program which attempts to download flash videos from websites and can convert them to mp4, avi, etc. I've used it with success.
Every website is different though so it all depends on how the page is structured to get the file. If the flash video is the only one on the page I bet it will retrieve it successfully.
+1 for Downloadhelper extension in Firefox, just make sure to disable the animated icon in the extension's options menu :P

If that fails, I usually fall back on using Chrome or Opera and checking the cache after I've seen the video. Usually Opera.
