Hey guys I'm running a campaign for a year that I plan on bringing to gencon 2012. Its a table top rpg but its pretty different from whats currently out there. I myself am a hardcore gamer. I play fighting games and Fantasy rpg's mostly but I tend to play everything. Anyway I haven't really publicaly shown anyone what we plan to do yet and I love this site so I figured I would open it up to see what people thought of the art ect. Also just in case there was anyone in the Atlanta area wanted to Alpha test it as well if you like what you see you can write me at formulajh7@gmail.com (I currently live in Connecticut but we will be playing in my Artists studio in Georgia flying down once a month to run the year long campaign before bringing this to gencon.
So some things about the game.
I created it from the ground up to be a living campaign meaning stuff you do matters to others also playing for instance if you do something extraordinary other players will know the names of your characters things you do in the game will matter. (The game will be big into making you nerd famous much like top ww guilds are.) It sounds crazy I know but we have a system in place that will allow this to work which will also not allow cheating ect. This is also not a game that can be played in your home as of now unfortunately (Once you see the pictures you will see why.) However I want to bring this to as many people as we possibly can and make it realistically affordable.
One more thing combat actually makes sense. There are dice involved but my system isn't something as abstract as make your fortitude save and you don't get hit by wizards bolt of thunder. The genre is what I call Fantasy Realism. Hit points will mean something instead of just stat numbers that when you get to 0 your dead or at half you are bloodied. Also character progression is much different. For instance you don't gain a level and through some kind of sudden divine inspiration know 4 new abilities after you go to bed for the night.
Now onto the good stuff [Pictures and Video]
I looked for over a year for an artists that could bring this game to life. I even tried to contact some of the guys that did scenery for white dwarf. Inevitably I found someone who in my opinion is just as good if not better lives in the US and is just as passionate about gaming as I am. Below is some of buisness partners [Matt Sabol's] past work I can't tell you how cool this stuff is in person.
Here is a display he did for Adepticon. The video doesnt do it justice but wait until you see it.

You can also see more pictures of his work and info about how to get into my alpha test on his site.
Everything I'm working on is for fun I don't plan on making alot of money my real intention is to bring awesome gaming to as many people as I can. I have a job that pays my bills outside of this and both myself and Matt are passionate about making a difference in this genre. If people like this and want more info I will send updated photos ect here when we start alpha.
P.S. I also do realize that this probably comes across as an attempt to shamelessly self plug the game. I really just want to bring this to as many people that are interested in this kind of thing that I can. Thanks again Lewie P's Stepdad as well for the go ahead to post this up here.
